Of course playing the game will give one a far better idea of what the game is like, but I'm talking about just now. The Gameplay video showed a lot of elements pretty broadly. Combined with all the info and the screens, most people have a pretty good idea if they like the game or not at this point.

It looks like a perfect balance of everything I wanted and more! It's realistic, yet has activities that are extremely entertaining. All I wanted in the beginning was Grand Theft Auto IV with Grand Theft Auto San Andreas features and we have that, with much more. 10/10 for me easily biggrin.gif

10/10 ! they mixed all good stuff from their games ( RDR GTA & more ) and it's a good thing ! The game looks really awesome & now i'm like a child counting days until the release ..

R* is listening to fans, they are doing an amazing jobs with their games and i'm sure GTA V will be GOTY !

10/10. They listened to fans! (car customization, properties etc.) i think they delayed the game just to add features fans wanted in GTA V because they saw that people were disappointed after they told that car customization and property buying isn't in the game. (few months ago)

I voted 8/10. And I'm being generous.

 

It is definitely too early to give a higher rating to a game no one has ever played. That's like crowning a 10 year old as a perfect king before he's even been knighted; just because his ancestry was dominant. Based on what I've already known about GTA V, and based on what I learned about the gameplay in the video, I have to say that there is room for improvement.

 

Mainly, that room for improvement will be discovered when I actually get my hands on it on September 17th.

 

Things Discovered which I Disliked:

  • 8 Item Weapon Wheel
  • Arcade-like driving
  • Corny action of Franklin using his sniper rifle
  • Slow plane flight
Things Discovered which I Liked:
  • Smooth Customization Interface (cars, clothing, tattooing)
  • Immense underwater world
  • Smooth transitions between players
  • Graphics
  • etc.
Basically, GTAV has a great foundation. And it has the potential to get a higher score in my book; but I certainly won't crown it two months before I'll even play it. Edited by Mega_Byte

It will probably be a 9/10 when I judge it with my LJM rating system™, because there is no unified rating system. And I think a game has to be perfect in every way to get a full score, and GTA V definitely won't be that. Hell, it might even be lower than a 9 if there turns out to be several annoying bugs or glitches.

Just WATCHING the gameplay is mind-blowing. Some games aren't so fun to watch unless you're playing. That alone is a 10.
