Catwalk Posted July 9, 2013 Share Posted July 9, 2013 So in the gameplay trailer at 2:53 we are looking through a scope at a deer. Interesting part to me was the 7MPH on the lower right. This can only be wind, the only reason the speed of the wind would be shown would be if it effects the shot. That's insane detail imo. Thoughts? This could be because it's a different gun or because the wind is really only for hunting. Has it been confirmed though that hunting is a seperate minigame? Well Trevor's camo hunting gear & the line "animals to spot, hunt & be hunted by" from the trailer says otherwise. I liked the sniper rifle in IV, especially shooting running targets & you have to aim in front of them (very satisfying & quite easy with practice). Grimr3ap3r_ Posted July 10, 2013 Share Posted July 10, 2013 I highly doubt they will encorporate wind effecting bullets As mentioned above its more than likely an indicator of where not to stand so any prey your hunting cannot smell your scent In rdr you had to sneak up on certain prey items as they would get spooked by you, I expect the wind indicator to be a enhancement on this animal Ai as in real life an animal can smell you It would be wierd to only have wind effecting bullets during hunting imo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I kinda like the realism and it makes the game more challenging and more fun. It would be kind of a shame that it's included only in these hunting minigames, though, since the scope we see Franklin aiming through at about 1:46 doesn't have that marker at the bottom.
