There is also a R* interview in this site.

The link is in first comment of GTA V gameplay post in R* newswire.

Yeah is there a translation for it anywhere. I can't seem to copy off that page.

Here you go, but it is kinda engrish.

Where did you get the idea of the three interchangeable characters?

Leslie: We had already thought of several playable characters in San Andreas but we could not

put it up for technical reasons. We are never reconsidered until Aaron Garbut, our artistic director,

hear about it during one of our first discussions on GTA V. It seemed a logical progression to the

extent that people are now fully able to follow several stories at once, there is to look at the current

television. We also wanted to give more choice to the player. A character alone could not manage

all the activities and tasks they wanted to establish in GTA 5, and this system of interchangeable

characters stuck perfectly with what we had in mind for the story and missions game

Out missions that are the characters when the player does not control?

Imran: The three characters have their own schedule that varies according to time of day and the

increase in history. You will be able to see Michael with his wife and children, then move to

Franklin dragged his friend Lamar, or opt for Trevor who is unconscious in a étableou be pursued

by the police with a search index of 3 stars. Schedules of each character include special events

that may be trivial or significant depending on the character and now. Where the characters live

also change over time. So, if you play as Michael and you go home, he may very well be his wife

Amanda is gone shopping, his daughter Tracey do sports and Jimmy plays quietly in his room.

Trevor's house and that Michael will not have the same schedule, which will increase the

differences between the characters.

How the main characters will they be presented to the player? Will there be a character

who begins the story and who will be joined by the other two? Or the players be able to

choose from the start?

Leslie: The biggest part of the game is based on three characters and how the lifestyle and

actions of one affect the other two. It was thought to have three characters from the start but we

thought it would interfere with the gameplay and the story. We want to give the player the

opportunity to know the three characters individually and explore the world of each of them, and it

would not have been possible if the three had been available from the start.

Can you stumble upon the other main characters in the open world?

Imran: You can meet each character if you know where they are. For example, if Michael leaves

after a mission and you play Trevor, you can go to meet him. You can also force things, if you

wish, from one character to another and making them meet. They can then become friends and

spend time together. We thought to make the characters appear on the map to be able to follow

the day to day in the city, but we chose to focus our efforts on the system of interchangeable

characters.

This is the first Grand Theft Auto in which you give access to the entire map from the

beginning. Does it change the way players discover the world?

Imran: In previous GTA, slowly we were developing the mission and the map is revealed as and

when, so that the player would arrive critical missions. I think it was the right strategy for the

stories we wanted to tell the time, but not this time. Today we want to surprise with very intense

missions from the start. The pace of the game is much faster than any of its predecessors. From

the beginning, we want to show the new game mechanics while creating an intense and actionpacked gameplay to "capture" the player's attention immediately. Remember that the three

characters in the game are already living in the city of Los Santos and surrounding areas. They

are not newcomers like Niko and Tommy Vercetti or people returning after a long absence as CJ.

They already have contacts, they are integrated and lead a busy life just these characteristics

should give players a sense of immediate and total immersion. But the danger of creating party

as intense from the beginning is that the player did not want to play more than just a party from

time to time, just for fun. We tried to improve further the characterization of the characters and

the scenario of high quality GTA IV for all fits perfectly to this type of exhilarating missions. So you

will see no one doing crazy things for no reason. The player will also have access to enough

heavy artillery early in the game, but again, in a particular context and not without reason.

I don't understand how the Love Fist shirt is in game, considering R* said that characters from old gen would not exist in new gen.... So Love Fist should have never been a band for this gen console.

R* seems like they like to billsh*t us.

If Love Fist still exist then so should Vercetti, CJ, and Claude. Yet they apparently don't....

they didn't even update Love Fist's logo.... That is what we saw in Vice City

It doesn't have to be like that. The three different universes can have similarities, like how Lazlow is in every GTA since III.

R* stated that characters from the past gen consoles would not exist in this gen. The characters of old gen would be myth or legend so to speak. Love Fist and Lazlow are special and above this rule? That makes very little sense. Yes Lazlow works with R* but he is still a character within the R* universes, Love Fist is the same.

I think R* bullsh*tted us about past gen characters. If Lazlow and Love Fist still exist, it is not farfetched to think Michael was once Tommy Vercetti before his issues with the FIB. Franklin is his new Lance, Trevor is his new Phil, and his therapist is the new Ken....

It just seems very odd to say no previous characters will exist, yet Love Fist is around and hasn't changed since they were introduced in VC. Lazlow also makes the statement of previous characters also seem like bullsh*t

just my thoughts I guess
