LotusRIP Posted July 9, 2013 Share Posted July 9, 2013 The HUD had icons for racing and other game modes, so it appears, the whole map is like a lobby where you own a safehouse and you initiate multiplayer matches (deathmatch,races, etc) by meeting up with people or something. I honestly lost all hope in me ever getting re-hyped about GTA V, and honestly I wasn't that excited for the gameplay video. However, R* have managed to win me over again. That was incredible! Anyone can name themselves anything over LAN/PSN/XBL. I want to be wrong, and I hope I'm wrong. But without dedicated servers announced and Peer2Peer being the main source of online console gaming, 16 is about the highest that's probably going to be possible for a game of this size. I thought it was common knowledge they start with 1 and go onwards from there.. gtavdev19 wouldn't be there, if there wasn't 18 other people. The only tiny negative thing (and it's really minor one) that I can see from that is it's quite similar to GTAIV when you are at a height the buildings etc in the distance still appear to be loading which is slightly annoying. I'm sure you're right, but that's why i don't get why eople are saying how amazing it looked or how it looks like it will be an MMO with your own safehouses etc. It just looks to me like IV but with guys in planes instead of guys in helicopters. I'm sure there will be more to it, it's just that none of it was in evidence from that snippet and i don't see what looks so great about it... yet.
