GTA V Gameplay Video

Everything from "mini" games (more like simulators lol) to mechanics feel fun indeed.

 

I noticed that EVERYTHING has something exclusive to it in the bottom right corner, even bicycles!

 

Rockstar really delivered with this one. the attention to detail is some of the best i've ever seen. (well, on a console)

 

If there's a game that deserves all the praise it can get and more, it's V.

 

Truly the best game i've ever seen.

 

Rockstar remains the Kings of Open World gaming, what were Ubisoft thinking they have nothing to be afraid of?

 

Even if it's the worst game ever (which is the most impossible thing in gaming history) it will STILL sell like crazy.

 

But with how good it is, and how many people who never played a GTA in their life said "cool game, i'll get it." "This game looks addicting." and so on.

 

 

And about the driving? Dan said "They hold/stick to the ground a bit better" and said about "There's not many HIGH-CLASS racing games out there....

 

V might as well be a real life simulator.

I exactly man. I honestly cant get excited about any other open world games anymore after seeing this. I already wasn't looking forward to AC 4 Black Flag, but that has now multiplied into...meh f*ck that game. Same with Watch_Dogs, i'll try it out at GC 2013 of course, but i'm really not looking forward to it all. I know that nobody has played it yet, but I'm willing to bet my life on it that V contains so crazy much more content than WD, it's not even funny.

Amazing. in IV there was just random red lights everywhere when not being close to the road. Ha, atleast in the PS3 version, don't know about xbox or pc.

Um, if it isn't in the PS3 version, it sure as hell isn't in the 360 version.

I've watched all the V trailers just now, from the very first one to the gameplay video. Some things looked a bit better in the first trailer, but most of it looks on par with it and it all looks very impressive if you ask me. I also watched GTA V O clock and you can really see how amazing the game can look. Especially how the sky looks and the sun effects, really good stuff.

 

By the way, that phonetalk with R* by CVG is today, isn't it?

The cloud effects from the first trailer were insane, and was the first thing I noticed on the game as a big improvement from IV, and also the characters and NPC's looked a tad bit more detailed. But well, GTA V looked very good on this gameplay video, and still impressed me a lot. And seems mega mega fun.

Loved it. Definite GOTY contender along with The Last of Us and Watch Dogs.

I've always wondered how a game becomes GOTY? is there a criteria?

It is selected by a panel of judges I believe, The Walking Dead won it last year.

 

The reason I'm not saying GTA V is a GOTY game yet is because The Last of Us from what I hear is amazing, 90% of the reviews are perfect and I haven't heard a single negative comment about it, I'm a PC gamer so I haven't played it obviously but the game looks amazing.

 

Watch Dogs seems like a good contender along with V as well but I don't really think it'll be a GOTY game, still a chance though.

 

Anyways, awesome stuff, also I'm not bothered by the lack of PC news since I'm sure we'll hear news about the PC version a month or so after the release.

The people being recorded have most likely been playing GTA V since the beginning and probably did numerous takes of the shooting / driving to get the best shot. One reason why I think people are complaining about the driving handling, but they wouldnt show it properly as you'd just crash.

this must be from a mission cause the character switch wheel is up...... its always visable in missions

 

in free roam it only appears when you switch, so im guessing you can freely switch between all 3 in this mission

I never expected GTA V to reach this level of beauty. I had high expectations of how it would play and look, but with this gameplay video, I'm sure that I had low expectations before. It's amazing what they're able to do at this stage with the PS3 and the Xbox 360. The gameplay video preview gives the impression that GTA V is a combination of the best elements of all the the recent Rockstar-developed games with more work of refinery.

 

You think RDR had a beautiful living breathing world filled with different pedestrians having unique set of animations and behaviors? GTA V has that, too, but also with better pedestrian models and textures and far more unique animations that fit the model of that pedestrian. You are fascinated with RDR's natural landscape? GTA V has that, too, but with better graphical details, more variety and more life-like terrains (i.e., very steep mountain ranges with distinct rocky structures). You had fun shooting in Max Payne 3? GTA V has the same shooting system with fluid animations and responsive targeting. All of this combined with a vast array of finely-tuned leisure activities and deep story missions that revolve around heists which are subject to the player's planning.

Weapon wheels really aren't my thing as I find them a bit more clunky than scrolling through the weapons themselves. Usually in multiplayer, I only have my pistol, a SMG, a machine gun, a sniper, and some sticky bombs. Scrolling through those weapons isn't difficult and it looks to be slower with a weapon wheel. I remember trying to use the weapon wheel in RDR but just couldn't get used to it so I never played it again.

I hope we can use sniper rifles as normal assault rifles (and by that I mean standard aiming system instead of using the scope).
