the graphics are hideous. the gameplay is really good though. im amazed by how fast it takes to switch between chars and the MP

Oh shoosh, we all knew it would look like this on console, quit being that annoying PC guy. PC is way better obviously, but we all know that, give it a rest.

Don't listen to him... When I first saw it, I could have sworn that it was taken from a Next Gen system. Just watch it for yourself.

Nothing..nothing looked horrible. That was absolutely draw dropping. The radar looks fine to me, I have no problem with that. What an amazing video!!

Radar?

The HUD, my bad. I know it seems different too the previous GTA's, but if you give it a chance. It looks fine!

The only things that looked very concerning was:

A) Muzzle flash when Michael was shooting at the helicopter.

B) The static look of planes when flying.

Same for me. The plane handling looked very Just Cause 2-ish cry.gif

I thought the same, until I noticed that you never saw the planes tilt or yaw at all while we were piloting, you only saw them ascending or descending or point the nose up or down. The Cuban was already slightly tilted. Other than that all of the other shots were spectated flying planes from a non-piloting camera angle.

Why are people complaining about the graphics? Because they don't surpass the graphics of more recently released games like COD or Crysis? Get a f*cking grip, they're still good by today's standards.

The graphics are honestly better than I expected. It all looks like RDR, maybe even better. I thought it would look like the screenshots which weren't my cup of tea. But knowing that the game looks exactly the way it did in trailers 2 and 3 makes me excited. Did you see those purple Lupines next to that deer? wow.gif Gorgeous, jaw-dropping detail!

If I have anything to complain about -- I got over the handling, they didn't show much of it anyway -- it's the fact that there isn't much to the map north of Mt. Chilliad. Hopefully there is a lot to be revealed on the western and eastern sections though. I want more desert, forests, and winding roads to enjoy the many brilliant looking cars in this game.

Did you notice this, you can see cars driving on the street from that distance. nervous.gif

wow wow.gif

Amazing. in IV there was just random red lights everywhere when not being close to the road. Ha, atleast in the PS3 version, don't know about xbox or pc.

Um, if it isn't in the PS3 version, it sure as hell isn't in the 360 version.

The PC version of GTA IV had that.

You can see it to the right. The people in this screen must of been playing with traffic off so you can't see the closer cars. Normally you would see them.

Rockstar said that there won't be difference between the Xbox 360 version and the PS3 version so looks like we'll have a better drawing distance

It's so cool that gun noises actually affect stealth in the environment now.

Look at the minimap in the .gif and you see a red circle if 'noise' appear every time Franklin shoots:

The player has access to a wide range of modifications, such as extended clips that allow you to fire more ammo between reloads, grips to improve your accuracy, weapon tints to color your guns, flashlights, scopes, and suppressors.

Attachments such as suppressors allow the player to adapt their approach to some missions and take a stealth option. It¹s all part of broadening the range of tactical options for the player.

(Source: http://www.gameinformer.com/games/grand_th...tomization.aspx )

Suppressors are going to add a whole new element of stealth to GTA. cool.gif

I like it, I never really liked how it was in GTA IV. I always changed it lol.

I don't know if anybody else does this as well, but for my shooting, instead of a shoulder view, I would always make it zoomed out where I could see almost my entire body while shooting, and I also changed my reticle from the circle with the dot in the middle to just a dot.

Yeah, I think they finally perfected it, although I will be changing how the camera is when you're shooting to how I normally like it.

When we saw the plane shamal flying, I think the camera was too far. Hope we can still change camera views to closer one's.

BUT THE BENZ

green the camera angle seems absolutely legit. the angle will always vary depending on yor movement. whether you jog, crouch, cover, run, aim from the hip, aim over the shoulder. all that noise. it seems the "standard cam" is perfectly balanced, close enough but far away to visualize the action/speed (immersion) when doing certain things. no problem about it at all, and with the switch from the right to the left shoulder cam it will be perfect. ...damn I'm still hyped....some 5 hours later...this is amazing

For some reason I really dig that minimap. It looks cool and doesn't take up too much space.

Now 2 years later we have our first GTA V in-game gameplay.

Rockstar planned it all along  cool.gif

CoNsPiRaCy! Run for the exit!

WTF

Ahh I see you joined in 2012 monocle.gif Deepthroat goes waaaay back to 2007 to Pre-GTA IV info. I wasn't

a member for his first posts but was following the forums well before all the hoopla.

This should do the trick but be warned you will only be more confused moto_whistle.gif

It's pretty obvious why the view was further away so that we can see more of the game. Also seriously why people worried there is going to be like 3 or 4 camera views like all other 3D GTAs anyway.

The money transport car they crash into during the heist, is called Gruppe 6, which is Group Sex in Norwegian.

From my interpretation it was meant to signify the return of desert and countryside to GTA.
