I was playing San Andreas to kill time and decided to tweet about my fav voice actor, Young Maylay, and how I would like to see a cameo of some sort in GTA V. He re-tweeted this tweet and then replied. I am aware of the rules that Rockstar have spoke about in the past regarding the 3D games and the HD games. If classic GTA characters were returning, wouldn't Young Maylay be the voice of CJ? I guess that disconfirms CJ as being one of the characters... I knew about Michael Hollick(Niko) having a dispute with them over pay, and from the tone of Young Maylay's tweet, it looks like Rockstar doesn't care much for him either. Fail_At_GTA Posted July 12, 2013 Share Posted July 12, 2013 If 3D era protagonists are playable characters online (which I doubt) then he will be in the game simply to do some voice acting for CJ so he has new lines. However, I believe the playable characters from the collectors edition will be the HD protagonists and their close friends like Roman, Brucie, LJ, and the friends from EFLC who I cant remember. It isn't impossible... Didn't the characters from Red Dead Revolver have different voice actors in Red Dead Redemption. I believe Jack Swift's voice changed. Or recycled lines, as you have said. Damn you know a rapper/actor's gone when he tweets back to random fans. He's still one of me favorite protagonists though. Your point is true but I don't really think it applies to Young Maylay, its just his style to reply to random fans. He's never really been some huge mainstream rap star, he keeps it lowkey. I think he would have been replying to fans 9 years ago as much as he does today. OT: It would be nice for him to make an appearance in V for old times sake.
