Glumok Posted July 9, 2013 Share Posted July 9, 2013 In GTA IV (PC) I do remember there were some unused icons and graphics in the game files, for what could have been a zombie mode. (I've been searching for them with OpenIV for an hour, but can't locate them. If anybody here is kind enough to post them, you're welcome!). From that, we could easly guess Rockstar has planned, at least at a moment, to add zombies in GTA IV (maybe a game mode in multiplayer only). Not to mention the special "infected" character that you can get in multiplayer. My "theory" is Rockstar has been interested in this idea of zombies, but scapped it during the development of GTA IV, while keeping the idea for Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. Now, as it could have been possibly added in a GTA game, maybe it could be the good moment for Rockstar to add it in GTA V, as a nice surprise. Why not? Very awesome to have zombies in a open world game with friends. Never player Undead Nightmare, but saw it on Youtube, the zombies could use some improvements. Like no spawning after 15 sec, graphics, zombies eating other peds, zombies having line of sight. Just imagine going on a hike w/ some friends and see 50 zombies, could make an epic zombie chase. Peds screaming and running away, eat their flesh and brain, while cops are trying to shot you down, ... I'm more than aware that the "zombie trend" has already reached a critical level of saturation in video-games nowaday, the point is not "would you like to get it" but rather "based on zombies in the last Rockstar's Games, could it happens in V". I hope they do it, On the contrary though I would be pretty stoked for a post apocolyptic DLC spinoff in the GTA world. MrSmarter22 Posted July 9, 2013 Share Posted July 9, 2013 Nope the file which were found in GTA IV were a cut minigame for a movie called Zombie Resurrection where u needed to kill zombies so it was not a mode but a minigame like QB3 or what the name was again. You just had to turn on the in-game console and play a Zombie videogame. But the videogame was like just like playing the game (same graphics and a different HUD also no health regen) but with a different character.
