killerx2
I was just thinking about how alot of people use cheat codes in GTA.( myself included) But in Red Dead Redemption while they tried to make you not use them, it was also simply more enjoyable to earn/loot everything So i thought about some of the info we have been getting which lead to my point at the end of this post. Money will be a big part of the game.you can/have to buy alot of things. I cant quote or remember exactly where i heard this, maybe Game Informer, but even though the map will be fully unlocked you cant do everything and have to work/earn your way up.like paying for the weapons, armors, etc. you need to go into an airport and steal a plane. You need a helipad before buying a helicopter. Heists will give you millions so buying things might not be as much of a grind, maybe closer to RDR but with alot of things to spend the money on. So my point is, will they be able to give it a RDR feel and make you want to earn everything. Since the story will likely be about you having to do whatever it takes for your life. whether its for money or to inject some excitement into a yoga filled boring life, i think not using cheats might be a bit more fun this time. But we will see when the game comes out. Will you use cheats, or at least as much as you used to, or less?

redx165
I use to use cheat code back in the day but when GTA IV came out I felt there was no need to. Why make the game even easier than what it is?

killerx2
I use cheatcodes for weapons and vehicles. It's all you need considering they don't have any crazy and fun cheatcodes.there was no fun or motivation in the storyline in gta iv. it was more of a kill everyone or whatever you want game. GTA V im atleast hoping will have a better feel to it, like RDR. i didnt really see why not to use cheatcodes in gta.that said i would never consider using any of the wanted level cheat codes. until my friend told me about him using it, i always thought those were fake when i looked up cheatcodes.honestly, you can already just go to sleep, why use a cheatcode like that. Tacymist
I liked all the crazy cheats San Andreas had. Being able to fly in cars or drive on water, the riot cheat, and many others just to name a few. I hope some, if not all of those return because they added another element of fun to the game.
DetectDefective
First playthrough? No, none at all, even after I've completed the story. Second playthrough? You bet your ass there'll be pissed off pedestrians and flying cars.
Lock n' Stock
No offense, but anyone who uses cheats to get through the story is a noob. I learned that a long time ago.
Mr.Mordecai
I don't use cheats anymore. Well, except for The Sims and GTA III era. I might use some of the fun cheats when I'm done with the game, but It's pointless.
trevors685
For free roam, yes.Missions, no. Your using cheat codes? What a noob. If I'm just dicking around, why would I want to drive all the way to the military base for a Hydra when I could just type in a code? It's convenient when I want to have some quick dog fights. It's not like I'm going to be using infinite health, ammo, and special ability, while performing heists.
jperkovic
I use cheats only when i finish the game, all missions.
killerx2
No offense, but anyone who uses cheats to get through the story is a noob. I learned that a long time ago. i didnt finish the story. it just got so boring.and you can have cheats on but your not really using it to get through the story since its too easy.i geuss since before i quit the story i played it at a really slow pace and just did free roam, i was expecting many people to use cheatcodes in gta iv. i haven't really thought about the missions.i would probably have weapons on from the cheats.thats the only cheat i can think of besides running people over in whats supposed to be a shootout. that last one would be getting some car from a cheat.i would just use a shotgun and a machine gun i had already bought so i wouldnt be using cheatcodes. again, that never crossed my mind. Gigabomber
Up until about 2 years ago I never used cheats ever. Now, they do make the game more fun and annoying parts more bearable, so I use them. Why not spawn a fast, beautiful car in front of you and give yourself a rocket launcher. I can drive a sh*t car in real life, why do I have to steal one in GTA? Making yourself invulnerable and starting a big fight with the police helps you understand their AI and tactics for when you turn it back off. killerx2
when i free roam i usually just want to do whatever without cops so i might get into a heli for any 3stars or above.when im actually playing and taking it as serious as you could take free roam, ill just drive away with whatever i find.no cheats needed. gui_olecio
The fun cheats, yes. Like the one that made the cars we hit fly.
EvilFuture
For free roam, yes.Missions, no. This. I LOVE using cheats in free roam, but I never hardly use them in a mission unless it's just too hard. I hope there's a huge variety of cheats, with a mixture of fun and serious one. My biggest wish is that the freeze wanted level cheat comes back. Sometimes I just wanna do whatever I want and not have to worry about cops.
MasterO
I'll use the cheats after I'm done with the story to mess about with.
2spooky4u
Since the entire map is accessible from the beginning, I won't do it. I only use it during story so that I'm not completely bored out of my mind while trying to unlock the other areas and so I can complete missions faster than usual. Other than that, yes, the fun cheats.
J-B
I''l do what I always do when I feel like f*cking around with cheats, I'll save my game, enter the cheat codes, f*ck around, and when I'm done I'll load that save back up and start playing "normally" again. ChocoFrosty
Not for missions. Only for fun. I can't stand anyone who thinks cheats shouldn't be in the game. There's nothing wrong with using them to make free roam more fun and convenient (spawning a heli or parachute is extremely useful).
ChatterBoxFM
If they included the "Flaying Cars" cheat, I will do that immediately. Then I will start a new game and not use any cheats.
