Will GTA V Gameplay be like GTA IV?

I imagine the movement and gunplay will be more akin to Max Payne 3. Then you will have the cityscape as detailed as GTA IV's Liberty City, with the rural areas as detailed as RDR. GTA V should essentially be the combination of all Rockstar's greatest games into one master product. The best of the best in every department. Jack of all trades, master of... all.

I believe the gameplay shooting/moving/etc will be like nothing we've ever experienced before. In other words we won't be able to describe it, even find the words until we experience it ourselves.

With the amount of features they have announced, I just don't see it being the same. They also have brighten the tone up a bit and added more colors.

It's described as a more polished RDR with Max Payne like movement.

 

Hopefully people aren't expecting too much because this is an open world game literally using every ounce out of this gens machines, not a linear mission based game like TLOU.

 

It's not going to look like Watch_Dogs running on a PC or TLOU made by the only team that really mastered the PS3.

GTA IV was not always bright. Like it felt it was cloudy everyday and not enough sun.

On Topic: With all of the new features and whatnot that we have seen and heard, I doubt it will be anything like IV.

I hope the climbing is like GTA IV and not like RDR. I hated how you had to be in the perfect position when you pressed the jump button for Marston to climb anything. I prefer GTA IV's way of allowing you to climb anything as long as there's a ledge and you aren't falling too fast. RDR didn't let you jump between rooftops and grab the edge. I did, however, like RDR's random climbing animations over GTA IV's fixed animations.

 

As for the shooting, we've heard that it will be like Max Payne 3. The driving should be like GTA IV, but more polished, especially with all the new modifications. I'd assume that the walking and running will be like RDR. It's the same as GTA IV, but when you have a weapon drawn, you automatically run when using the analog stick, sprinting when you hold the button rather than upon tapping it.

It will be, most likely. According to previews it's described that the gunplay, movements etc is similar to MP3 which is a damn good thing.

Yeah. Liberty City had two types of weather forecasts. Brown and grey. Good riddance to that colorless headache.

 

On topic: It should be more similar to Max Payne and RDR's more fluid controls. While they still aren't perfect, they seem better to me at least.

Yes game play will be the same or very similar. It's still a GTA game. I think the biggest difference will of course be the switching mechanic.

 

The game will look brighter yes because it's based on Los Angeles.

Gameplay cannot be brighter and he doesn't mean the HUD which is the map/weapons/car and street names/money/wanted stars.

 

The graphics and enviroment were dark and dull in IV because it was based on NYC. V is based on Los Angeles so it will have brighter graphics/environment.

Bunch of pussies going on about the color and weather the HD era is all about realism, of course you gonna get some what enjoy the dull like GTA IV and others who enjoy the Colorful like GTA 5, personally it doesn't bother me i live in a state where it is like New York then it changes to something like LA whatever, people can be such weirdos when it comes to a game that's to expected i guess.
