The Platinum Circle [Mission series]

Finished playing it all, and I can for first, say that I have never seen a mission pack - hell, I've never seen a professional game or a film with such a great plot full of twists and turns.

 

I already told you of my near death experience in the second mission, I felt a very new feeling and had to stop the game just to think for a second how awesome it was what I was playing - but from "playing", I can go to the only flaw of this mission pack. Cutscenes. CUTSCENES EVERYWHERE. You know, you're the best storyteller and best cutscene maker this industry has ever seen, but there literally was missions with NO gameplay. Hell, I dare, if there, in the whole mission pack was 20 minutes of gameplay, I'm Michael Jackson.

 

But then again... to the awesomeness. The story got more complex with every damn 5 second cutscene and with that I came more and more amazed. The gameplay it had was just enough.

 

About the story, the twists came out of nowhere. Though it was pretty obvious it was Ethan who Nick was working for. You literally made me jump of my chair when Ethan blew his car killing Max. There was just so many ways the story could have went so it was impossible to expect what would happen next.

 

Also the ending was not an usual happy ending "protagonist got the briefcase, killed the bad guy and lived happily ever after with his friends". NO. EVERYBODY FUKKEN DIED. The only one to survive of the whole character list was Brock, ending up in prison and probably got the death sentence anyway. And the only other one to survive was Mr. Tolli from the casino, who as well probably hanged himself after hearing what he had caused to happen.

 

One thing still bothers me. WHAT WAS IN THE f*ckING BRIEFCASE. Maybe a new chemical element? Like Jacknium or Ethanium. Or maybe SF was right about the sex tape. Or what else could be in there? A pocket size, 37 dollar Johnny Cash guitar? Or Ethan's American Pie collection? We will never know.

 

Once again, Jimmy, you have created 2 hours of pure enjoyment. Holy f*cking sh*t I'm still thrilled and shaking. It was a bit too awesome.

@ SatournFan - Thanks a lot on your feedback, man. I can't say how glad I am it actually came through to you Really thanks for the kind words About the cutscenes - Yeah. There is really a lot of them in this one, but I didn't really have an option cause I wanted to make as much complex story as I could and I couldn't have accomplished that without the cutscenes carrying most of the load. Well, I just hope it didn't ruin the story or the MP for anyone though. Lol, a sex tape? I gotta admit I can't argue with your statement since it has valid arguments holding it, but damn

And you're right, Brock got nailed by the police in a storage full of dead people with nobody around to stand up for him and say he didn't kill all those people, so.. It's just you, or should I say skins. Check yourself, in Kidnapped there's no Miles, and in Runaway there's no Nick etc.

That's actually not a surprise, San Andreas doesn't have a sh*tload of skins, that's why Jimmy used those that he has already used in the previous mission packs. Now, let the off-topic end, okay?

Answer - of all this adjectives I'd choose 'Smart'.

Answer - 'Smart', 'Careful'. I think that all of your protagonists (even CJ) were smart and careful at one point.

 

3.) Do you think the things that happened during the heist wouldn't have happened if Jack was with the team? Why?

Answer - usually when you introduce a Toreno guy (especially in your latest packs), he turns out to be a great guy overall. But this time I don't think that everything would change if he was one of the robbers.

 

4.) When it comes to the team (Including Jack and Ethan), who do you think was the most untruthful guy of them all? Why?

Answer - from the very beginning Nick was that fishy kind of guy whom I wouldn't trust (he was the one who sweared the most, too). But then again there is Will. I guess, one of them.

 

5.) Was it necessary for Ethan to kill Nick? If yes, why? If no, why?

Answer - actually it was necessary. As Ethan said himself, Nick was the only one who knew his whereabouts, so it was at least clever to kill Nick.

 

6.) Who do you think was the smartest person in the mission pack (Or has made the most right choices)?

Answer - aside from Brock, I guess Shane was the smartest of the remaining characters.

 

7.) Before playing the last chapter of the mission pack, which characters did you think will die and which did you think will stay alive at the end?

Answer - I actually couldn't believe everyone will die, excluding Brock. I thought that at least Jack would not be killed.

 

8.) As the overall character, would you rate Shane Paxton as a ''good'' bad guy or the real bad guy?

Answer - was he a bad guy? I doubt.

 

9.) Now when you know where every character's story ends, if you could be one of them, who would you be and why? Also, would you do exactly as the character in the story did or would you take a different approach at some points of the story?

Answer - I wouldn't be anyone, since they all died, again excluding Brock, but I don't think he became a free man after he was arrested.

 

10.) Do you think the ending can be stamped as ''Justice served'' or do you think someone else should've died or that someone else should've stayed alive? Why and who?

Answer - Shane and Jack should have stayed alive. They were good guys overall, I don't even understand why they died in the end.

No. It was a senseless killing because he had nothing to do with the case, or Ethan's escape.

6.) Who do you think was the smartest person in the mission pack (Or has made the most right choices)?

Jack.

7.) Before playing the last chapter of the mission pack, which characters did you think will die and which did you think will stay alive at the end?

I thought Will and Ethan would die, and everyone else would survive.

8.) As the overall character, would you rate Shane Paxton as a ''good'' bad guy or the real bad guy?

Real bad guy. I could sense him betraying the rest of the team when they all teamed up at the end.

9.) Now when you know where every character's story ends, if you could be one of them, who would you be and why? Also, would you do exactly as the character in the story did or would you take a different approach at some points of the story?

I would be Brock, so then I could interrogate Will and ask him where he put the case.

Nope. I think that it was a near-perfect ending. Maybe Brock could of died so absolutely nobody would know about the case, and it will remain a mystery.

Good bad guy, I thought he was a dick in the beginning but when he died, I found myself sad.
