LuigiIsHungry 0 Posted October 10, 2013 (edited) I know there's already a GInput for San Andreas, but would you consider doing your own version? I just like the way you did it in III and VC a lot more. Edited October 10, 2013 by LuigiIsHungry
Silent 15,339 Posted October 10, 2013 The Windows files on Mac. Anyway, I seem to have it installed and driving seems to be perfectly fine, yet when on-foot, the camera is spinning around from a top-down view, what did I do wrong? LT + RT seem to be the culprit, as when I hold them down the camera pans (RT for up-down, LT for left-right) and if I get the sweet spot and keep holding the triggers in, the camera doesn't move. Of course this isn't really ideal, though. Another thing is that the left stick seems to work when driving, but not on-foot. I'm thinking I must've installed it wrong or that it is actually incompatible... Was worth a try anyway. That's how Mac version works, it's just a wrapped Windows version. And that's where you install the mod. No idea about the issues though. Seems like a possible incompatibility with wrapped XInput that emulator may have. I know there's already a GInput for San Andreas, but would you consider doing your own version? I just like the way you did it in III and VC a lot more. Not at the moment. I'd rather help Deji with updating his version when he's working on it again.
LuigiIsHungry 0 Posted October 10, 2013 (edited) Not at the moment. I'd rather help Deji with updating his version when he's working on it again. If you help him update will that include the improvements you've made with your versions? (rumble, compatibility with the Steam version, GTA IV layout, etc.) Because I can be just as happy with that. The Clansman 22 Posted October 11, 2013 Yeah silent, you should consider making an SA version. Deji's mod never worked properly for me (x360 controller, free look on foot and auto aiming don't work, I tried everything in the joypad settings)

Anyway thanks for your great work.
LuigiIsHungry 0 Posted October 14, 2013 I'm trying to use the compatibility script to use the vehicle camera movement mod but it's not working correctly on either game. In GTA III the game crashes at the loading screen. In Vice City the game crashes when I press a keyboard button, so I can't input cheats.

LuigiIsHungry 0 Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) There's no compatibility script for GTA 3 yet. Oh, I didn't see what game it was for so I assumed it was for both. What about the keyboard crash? Can you fix it? Or is there something wrong on my end? Also, I can't find how to shoot from the vehicle with both GInput and the camera mod. Looking to the side and pressing LB doesn't seem to work. And for some reason the classic controls option doesn't work anymore, no matter what I choose the game uses standard. Silent 15,339 Posted October 14, 2013 That looks like your EXE version is incompatible with either CLEO or (less likely) GInput?
LuigiIsHungry 0 Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) Vehicle cam movement works just fine without the compatibility script using the mouse, the game only gets weird when I install the script. I've had no problems whatsoever with GInput in the past. About my EXE, I have a downgraded Steam version. I got the downgrader from here http://sannybuilder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=22903#p22903 Edited October 14, 2013 by LuigiIsHungry

Try to replace my scripts you have from that folder: http://13.sannybuilder.com/files/VC/CLEO/ Also, I can't find how to shoot from the vehicle with both GInput and the camera mod. I have a script to shoot with LB+RS though: http://13.sannybuilder.com/files/VC/CLEO/LB+RS.txt Edited October 14, 2013 by ThirteenAG
LuigiIsHungry 0 Posted October 14, 2013 Oh well, I guess I can live looking in 4 directions. It's not worth losing cheats and aim lock-on over. Why did you make it for standard controls only anyway? Aiming manually with a controller is a bitch.
ThirteenAG 3,574 Posted October 14, 2013 Why did you make it for standard controls only anyway? Aiming manually with a controller is a bitch. It's more challenging that way, i like it.
LuigiIsHungry 0 Posted October 14, 2013 Having no checkpoints is enough challenge for me . Thanks anyway.
Silent 15,339 Posted October 14, 2013 Why did you make it for standard controls only anyway? Aiming manually with a controller is a bitch. That concerns compatibility script only, GInput itself fully supports manual aiming.
guidodogg 1 Posted October 18, 2013 (edited) Silent/Thirteen, congratulations on both of you, what you are doing with these games is amazing. I know it's a long shot, but could you guys check on Manhunt? 13AG already did a WS fix, which works flawlessly and its a similar engine, so i thought maybe you guys could hear my humble request. Zera 94 Posted November 2, 2013 Just tried this out, it's pretty damn good. The GTA IV config, in particular, suits me just fine. Is there any way to use this config at all on the SA version?
davb37 0 Posted November 3, 2013 I get an error message just after intro movies: AppId is not configured. What's the problem? I use a GTA III nocd 1.1 with x360ce.
Silent 15,339 Posted November 4, 2013 Sounds like a x360ce error message, so not related to GInput at all.
davb37 0 Posted November 4, 2013 I get this message even without x360ce. I think the name on this picture explains it all. GInput don't work with this version. Too bad! this mod looked awesome.
Zera 94 Posted November 4, 2013 That error message shows skidrow on it. Is it a pirated copy, by any chance?

Silent 15,339 Posted November 4, 2013 Well, then no support from us. If you wish to, carry on using your pirate copy but you have to figure out the problem by yourself. I'm sure it's not GInput's fault though.
skau 88 Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) Ok, I've been using this with my DS3 and it works really well, but every time a button shows up on screen it breaks my analog sticks like its sensibility was severely reduced, forcing me to use the D-Pad when I enter a cab/ambulance/cop car or when I walk over a switchable weapon. I'm using the lastest version of the mod on Steam GTA VC, my DS3 Driver is XInput Wrapper SCP. Any solution to this? Silent 15,339 Posted November 18, 2013 I've got reports about this issue but never came into it personally. No clue what could be the reason.
Pat 7,651 Posted December 13, 2013 Is there a way to modify the analog sticks' sensitivities? I've tried using my DS4 with Standard Controls in both GTA III and Vice City and I love it but I find the sensitivity too high to aim accurately. I tried messing with mouse sensitivity and as I expected before doing it, it had no effect. Didn't see an option for sensitivity in either of the .ini files. halfer 2 Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) I tried googling and Ctrl+F'ing the thread but couldn't find how to enable Auto-Aim with GTA 4 style controls. Enabling Classic controls almost does the trick: looking around while on foot is lost Edited December 15, 2013 by halfer
