Nah Tso Gud
Me? 16 hours smile.gif

I think that would be my longest session on a console game so far. On Halo 2's multiplayer.... maybe I'll have to try to beat that on Sept. 17th biggrin.gif

Me too, with IV I played 6-7 hours as I could remember. I won't be at midnight release but I will next day I will buy it around 12AM and then play it 4AM next day in the morning. biggrin.gif

No midnight release this time for me ill wait until the morning - The problem with midnight release is not only the waiting around part but the tiredness after waiting all night for it. I find after purchasing you will play the game for a couple of hours then say to yourself im off to bed - but with excitement you will not be able to sleep, so you will stay up a little longer, then you will start suffering from blood shot eyes - headache - extreme tiredness - and dehydration, after which you will eventually pass out - only to wake up a couple of hours later feeling like sh*t - Then the rest of your day will be hell as you decided not too sleep.

This time around i will get a good night sleep - then go to my 24.7 supermarket and pick it up early and enjoy the whole day playing colgate.gif

Projected on Release Day, the duration of time that I will commit to Grand Theft Auto: V, will range from 6 to 8 hours to the entire day. biggrin.gif Most of said, allocated time will be devoted to exploration and free-roaming as Michael. The ambiance of Los Santos in and of itself will be inebriating with every turn. smile.gif

I have work from 8 till 5 that day, like all days, so either I will get it before or after work, if I get it after then I'll have it home by about 6, so from 7 o'clock after I have something to eat or from 6 if I get it in the morning then I'll play until about midnight, so that will be about 5-6 hours for me.

more than 8... it will probably come in the post around Tuesday lunchtime.. or the couriered version I ordered will come in the morning, & the other 2 copies around lunchtime..(1 couriered, 1st class & 1 day delivery).. lol.

Then until midnight on the 17th, I would of probably played over 8 hours...

I'm unemployed and currently living away from my home town so I'll be doing a loooong old stint online in free-mode with me mates. 8 hours + for sure. Might be looking at a 36 hour stint with toilet breaks, food, drink, dog walking, buying more gaming essentials (food drink).

As much as I can that day, so potentially as much as 8 hours.

With little breaks to let the console cool/ do other things of course such as eat drink piss sh*t and smoke.

And off topic but like others I won't be playing online for at least a couple of weeks.

And to the guy above me, too much.

Mr.Mordecai
Man, you guys are trying way too hard to play the whole "cool guy with busy schedule" thing. You know we'll all be on it 24 hours.

Actually, I have school and I'm taking AP courses so I actually won't have that much time the first day. wink.gif

I'd say 4-5 hours maybe.

I'm getting the game on release day, but I'll wait to play it until the following weekend. Once that weekend comes, though, I'll be playing all weekend.

As much as I can without dying/starving/lying in my own filth.

In all seriousness tho, it will be as much as I can while still going to uni and not falling behind on work.

Well I have school and important exams so I will revise for them but probably 3-4 hours on the first day. However the minute the weekend comes I could see me doing about 16 hours straight every Saturday and Sunday for the rest of the year

Depends. If there's nothing going on that day, I'll be playing through single player from 9:30am until 3:30pm, easily.

I'll get home at 5 on Tuesday, see that glorious package with my name on it. I'll stand there for a second and think about how far i've come to get it, and what's inside the box. I'll grab it sprint upstairs and turn on my PS3, take out the disc inside and just throw it. I don't care where, it won't be being used for about 5 years. I'll rip open the box then open the Special Edition as carefully as possible, pop the disc out and put it in. As the game installs and downloads i'll be listening to Queen songs and eating whatever food I bought for the occasion then that glorious "pling" as the game installs. The load screen appears... I get butterflies in my stomach... then the logo. the transition to the cutscene. THAT FIRST GLORIOUS CUTSCENE. I'll watch it with all my heart and pay attention to everything then as my mouth waters into the leathery creases of my chair the cutscene ends. I'm dissapointed then I realise what's about to happen, I transition into Michael/Trevor/Franklin and slowly ease my thumb towards the left joystick, this isn't a cutscene anymore. He moves forward and suddenly stops as I feel that rush of amazement.

I am playing GTA 5. The game i've waited 2 years to play.

Then after 5 years of not speaking to my family and friends, I emerge from my house... a full beard and long shaggy hair, long fingernails and my clothes are brown from dirt and sweat from the intense moments of playing the game. I come out a complete man- a happy man. Then I break down in tears as I realise I have nothing left in the game to do.

When I got GTAIV I played for 18 hours, only interrupted by small breaks. I don't know if I can do that again but it will definitely be plus 12 hours.

I would of gone with 8 Hours + but sadly I have school the next day. But i'm able to play it or 3-6 hours depending what time in the day i pick it up. (most likely in the afternoon if my dad is unable to pick it up) on the following weekend i'll be playing it for 12 hours. But i will take breaks of course smile.gif

Here's what I plan to do: I'll take that Tuesday off from work. I will go to midnight launch, come home and go to sleep, get up at around when I usually get up, (between 5-6 AM) then play until I can no longer look at the screen, or until 10 PM which is when I normally go to sleep during the week. Whichever comes first. lol.gif Of course, I'll take several small breaks throughout the day.

So in short, I will be playing the game quite a bit that day.

I plan to sleep all day that Monday and get up at around 7 PM. Get a shower, eat something, browse these forums for a few hours than head to Gamestop. I will get the game and play for I would maybe till 4 or 5 PM in the evening considering that is when I will get super super tired.
