I acted like I was busy and didn't have much time to keep up with the info. Anyway, I asked them a mixture of questions we already know (to make it look like I didn't) with a mixture of stuff we don't know. My email: Hello, first of all, I am a huge fan. I am a very busy person, so I don't have much time to look on the web for GTA V news. So, I have 5 simple questions that would be awesome if you answered. Thank you. 1. Will there be fuel in cars? 2. Is Los Santos the only city? 3. Is car and weapon customization in the game? 4. Can you control convertible tops in cars? 5. What is in the Special Edition of GTA V (If there is one) Thank you Rockstar! Their reply: Hey Jeff, Thanks for the email and for sending over your questions. Here are the answers for you: 1. We’re not sure where this rumor has come from, but we haven’t announced anything like that. 2. GTAV is set in the massive city of Los Santos and its vast surrounding hills, countryside and beaches. While there won’t be multiple cities, you can expect the biggest, most dynamic, and most diverse open world we've ever created. 3. Yes, you can customize vehicles and weapons. Read more about that in this Game Informer preview. 4. We haven’t discussed that yet – stay tuned. 5. I think you'll find we do. The way they answered it basically gives us a "no" to the question. There has been debate on whether or not fuel is in the game. This confirms it isn't... Fuel in cars has always been a rumour, since San Andreas was released... it's a bunch of horse sh*t. Yet either way, they didn't even answer the question. There could be fuel in the game for all we know - absolutely unlikely - but point being that this email doesn't confirm anything. Bull, they have confirmed there will not be fuel, and that they have not "yet" discussed convertible tops on cars. Regarding fuel; they didn't confirm anything. They said they "haven't announced anything like that". There's plenty of other things they haven't announced about the game either... doesn't confirm whether or not fuel is in - although pretty obvious it won't be, unless just for nitro boosts. Convertibles; didn't really confirm anything, the choice of words is interesting, although it seems like they're just trying to tease that there's new info coming soon in general. Posted June 28, 2013 Share Posted June 28, 2013 Nah, too optimistic, they said "we have no idea where this RUMOR came from, we haven't announced anything like that" In other words, that completely implies that it is a rumor, not true, and they don't know why people would even think that since that has never been the case in GTA and they haven't announced anything "like" that. It's a confirmation for me, No Fuel - hold me to it. Constrast the statement to the one about convertibles, which implies "we haven't said anything about this YET", where the fuel clearly says it is just a rumor. Where did they say retractable roofs are still up for consideration? They said it hasn't been discussed yet... that just means amongst the public ofcourse. Wildlife and Chop hasn't been discussed yet either. Far out, they almost completely ignore 5 questions with copy & paste responses, and people are plucking facts from it and treating it like gospel. I mean, we saw it in a trailer... why would R* handle it as if it were a rumor? hopefully to build excitement for the tops being in the final edit... Yes, that's true, but they might take these things out because of technical problems. For all we know, there could have been a glitch in how the convertible tops work, or maybe it didn't work just right.
