PhilWillKill
As a fairly long-time member of the site I remember the announcement of, and build-up to the release of GTA IV. Much like the previous game, this game has suffered a delay which is both good and bad (the game gets extra polish but we don't get our grubby mits on it as early as we wanted). Aside from the usual trickles of info from Rockstar in the shape of artwork, screenshots, trailers and links to journalist previews we NEVER get gameplay footage (emphasised due to the numerous threads created about it recently). However many of you will remember that prior to the release of GTA IV, either at midnight or whatever time it was in your region, there was a rumour of a live stream broadcast of someone playing GTA IV. I think it was Justin.tv or something similar. I remember at the time that I had read and seen every bit of info released about GTA IV, I had pre-ordered it and was probably only half a day from getting my hands on it . Yet no matter how much I had convinced myself that I wouldn't spoil the experience by watching the live stream, when the time came, there I was staring at my web browser watching some guy struggling very badly to control Roman's taxi due to the new, improved physics... Like a hopeless drug addict I had caved in to see some gameplay with only hours left until the game was released. However, even though I had pre-ordered it and would probably receive the game through my door the next day I was already looking at getting my fix sooner, so I checked the local stores and the local supermarket was opening at midnight for the launch. I got there, queued up and got the game at about 12:15. I then went home and played it until the early hours. When my pre-order dropped through my door the next day, I went back to the supermarket with the pre-ordered version and receipt and was duly refunded! Anyway, long-story-short and all that...If there is another live stream in the run up to GTA V's release, will you cave in and watch? (regardless of what you say I'm sure you will have a fight with your willpower not to)
brian.
As a PC player, absolutely, I will be watching endless youtube and streams until the game comes out for PC. Because personally, I don't care about spoilers in games, and I'd rather watch some videos to quench my thirst than buy a console on its way to the graveyard just to play a game that I know will re-release on the new consoles and PC months later anyhow. And I can't really spoil it when I treat it like "watching tv" or "watching movies" and I get the true HD version to play for myself when it comes out on PC, and so it will be even better than any chunky pixelated 720p mess I watch to see how the game works. When I get lucky enough to watch a telesync dub of a movie while it's in theatres, I don't mind the visual and sound quality being garbage, and it's like seeing it all over again when I see it in home release HD formats. That being said, I treat this no different: I'll watch the low quality game, and see if I really still want to play it, and when I do get to play it, it'll be the high quality version. Everyone wins. TrevorsMom
Nope early night just to resist the temptation. Plus extra sleep will just allow me to stay up later the next day and play it longer.
golf wang
Absolutely. I want to see what I'll be playing September 17. I don't get why so many people on this forum get all emotional and sh*t about seeing early gameplay. It's like gameplay is sacred to them or something. GTA5isntAMYTH
lol even if they put the game in a console at gamestop im not ruining the "magic" for myself. all weekend i wont be getting on the internet in fear of seeing a gameplay video of someone who got the game early and ill watch it. no thanks i really dont want gameplay just some screens and aniother trailer in july or august. and then a tv commercial in september. but seriously we've never gotten gameplay. .. .. stop crying about it. . i just cant wait for september 16th im waiting at gamestop most of the day. in case of long lines
d3ex2
I ain't watching sh*t. I'll take whatever Rockstar gives us but if the game leaks then I won't watch it. I can wait to experience it myself. If I was a PC gamer it would be different. Those poor people have to wait months longer and are most likely gonna have the game spoiled. Not so glorious after all. Tobias_Rieper
Well considering no one will have it anytime before August... It's just a matter of waiting until Blacklist's release. That'll definitely hold my attention for the last month. So no. No gameplay for me.
