Smart Phone and wifi question

Hello. It feels like it has been a long time since I posted a topic, but ah well. I have, what I think, is a very interesting question, and hopefully a solution.

 

So, for a while now, I've noticed I have a ton of svchosts running at once, I've always had a good chunk, I mean, I have vista, vista is so awesome about that... Anyway, a good chunk are listed as "NETWORK SERVICE".

 

So I couldn't figure out why, I purchased an Iphone recently, and when I connect to wifi with the same connection my desktop uses, I noticed my internet on my pc acted a bit strange, and thats when i noticed all of the svchosts. My idea is, and it probably has already been discussed, and I apologize for being a "noob", but I really do think something is going on, and it is creating problems with my gaming pc, it seems like connectivity to wifi through my iphone, or any wifi device really does cause a lot of side effects to my computer, it is like it is trying to communicate with them much as it can. I try as hard as possible to only have what I need running, and nothing else.

 

So, is the damn phone causing a strange interference with my pc through the network somehow, or could it be my modem/router? Any thoughts, and help will be appreciated. Thanks.

You really should mention what side affects it is causing.

 

Do you have the PC setup to sync with your phone (icloud stuff-- pictures/music/vids/etc)-- if so it could be causing alot of network traffic-- especially if the phone is setup to only sycn over wifi.

 

However is should subside after the pc and the phone are all synced up.

 

I don't use any "i" devices so am hardly the person to answer this but the above is my 2 cents--

 

I would post up the specific problems that are occurring. Without more info it may be impossible to help you.

 

It might also be a good idea to bring up your "services" list and take some screenshots of the specific services running on your PC (unless you can copy and paste this list or there is an alternate way of exporting this list.
