Tyg0903
Mine comes and goes, but I know on the 16th I will be shaking like I haven't had a fix in a while. I get off work at 11 pm that night and GameStop is 5 minutes from there. The dive to the store for midnight release will be frantic and when I Ppull up and see the line is long, filled with kids, I will be knocking people out of the way to get my copies, yes I preordered 2. Just in case. And the next day I will sell my extra copy for 150 bucks because it will be sold out. Wait my hype is back.
CrazyAssTrevorV
There really hasn't been much hype for GTA V ever since the character trailers. The E3 screens weren't even exciting, so my question is, when do you think we'll get a new batch of info, and a raised hype level? Rockstar f*cked up (from a business perspective, not from a perfectionist's point of view) by delaying the game's release to a date much later than their estimated release window. They left it too late; now it has to compete with big titles like Battlefield 4, so it won't be the biggest seller. If they kept V to their 2013 Q1 release window, they would have had significantly less competition and more sales revenue (at the expense, of course, of having a broken/buggy game on release day). Physical retailers will not be able to order and sell as much as they would have been able to earlier in the year. They will have to drop prices earlier than what could have been when the new release market wasn't buzzing with BF fanboys. There will be no competition when it releases in September. GTA V will be the top seller of that month for sure. Only games coming in Sept are Diablo 3 & Rayman Legends on sept 3, GTA V on sept 17 and Fifa 14 on sept 20. Even if it was coming out the same month or week Battlefield 4 it'd still out sale that game. The grand theft auto franchise is way more popular than some FPS war games that come every year. fridaynightscream
In July and August we will get more info, maybe not July but August for sure, a week or two before the game comes out we will get a launch trailer, then the game comes out and that's that. Deffpony
Lol. I read the title as "Hope is dying". Was about to say "and the award for most melodramatic title goes to..." Ot: I'm more hyped than ever. The closer we get the more excited I get. We know there will be loads of info within the next three months. After years of craving this game and begging for info we have 5 trailers, two rounds of previews, and over 100 screens. And the wait is almost over. Anyone losing hype must not have been that hyped in the first place.
IveGotNoValues
Lol. I read the title as "Hope is dying". Was about to say "and the award for most melodramatic title goes to..." haha I know. Thats what i thought it said when i first glanced at it too. I was like take it easy man, the game will be here in a few months, no need to get all depressed
ivarblaauw
believe me, somewhere between now and a few weeks, they'll come up with a lot of new footage, which will blow everyone away. Then the Hype will be bigger then ever .
BrunoLK
How is low hype a bad thing? It makes you more prone to not getting disappointed and enjoying the most out of the game when it's out. Enjoy life and don't think about the game. It will come.
tom_p1980
I must admit my hype has been fluctuating over the past year and a bit. It died off for a long time until the character trailers came out, but since then I've been pumped up for it. I'm keeping my expectations low, and I do plan on keeping an open mind, however I'm just glad we are now getting a fairly decent open world GTA with tons to do. zainzombie
And the wait is almost over. Anyone losing hype must not have been that hyped in the first place. No matter how close the release date comes it always seems so far away. The wait has been way too long now, even after the V announcement and first trailer. This has to be the longest I have ever waited for a game. It has come to the point that it seems impossible to ever play this game, it feels like a dream now. Whenever I think of how the game would feel and all the possibilities, the first thing that comes to my mind is...... too good to be true. Because of that, Im not as hyped or excited as I was last year. Ofcourse it will come back once we are only 10 days away from release but until then, there is no point in being excited or hyped. Whenever I think of GTA V, the only thing that comes to my mind is... Just give me the f'n game already. I guess I'm just tired of waiting. FredFive
I am ridiculously hyped..! Been dreaming about V a couple of times, playing the game and had the map revealed -felt so real. Never experienced that before! Not even with San Andreas or IV.. Been keeping busy with RDR and SA, but it's just made it worse Oh well, we'll get it soon enough, and even though I'd love to see some more trailers and screens, I'd rather not spoil the game. If R* started to show gameplay footage and reveal everything in pre/reviews I wouldn't be able to control my self. So it's just fine R* are keeping things under wraps Man I love GTA! Paper Mario
Well.. It's not that much at the moment. It just really sucks that it comes out just when school starts again. I also want my summerbreak to last long. I don't want to think about school and work for awhile.. I'll just enjoy with the games I play a lot currently. Halo Reach, GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption! GTA V can still wait. I want summerbreak more!
lll-H-I-M-lll
my hype is dead as the dodo at the moment theres none but thats a good thing to be honest hopefully rockstar kick the sh*t out of it back in me

Mokrie Dela
why doe so many people type like this like its some kind of poem it just makes no sense OT - i disagree. My hype levels are level with watchdogs, and pretty low at the mo, but no game can hold my hype for 2 years or 2 months. Come september, (i'm on holiday til the 12th!) i'll be excited but the aforementioned holiday will override that. My hype will return, but there's a danger of OVERhype. Too much information will destroy hype. If you go into a restaurant and someone gives you one bite of a juicy perfect steak, you'll want more. But if they give you the whole damned cow, you'd be full, and not want any more. I feel R* have revealed too much information in too short a time. They should have spaced what we got out more, drip feeding us small tidbits of information, almost teasingly. Hype is a word meaning the perception of many. And there's a saying : "The individual is smart; people are dumb" the point? One person will have a strong and deep opinion, with their own level of hype. But put them into a group, and that goes down - the group shrug, despite each one looking forward to it. That spreads and in this age, we're all sheep, and we allow the GROUP consensus to override our own opnion this our hype disappear, for the only reason that not many people feel that way. The same way pandemics spread. The same way EA and Activision and COD are popular. So no, hype hasn't died in my eyes. People have simply lost sight of things, focusing on a map, or gameplay footage (which we will never get in the way they want, and if we did, they'd complain). Instead they should do what I and many others did last year when we got 2 screens every month or two. Look at the screen, wonder what's that building there, what's behind the mountains, oh man i can't wait to speed an infernus down that highway, where does that go, can i do that? Instead we get: why isnt there something that we were told would never be? what conspiracy theory can we come up with? My life is so empty i have to spend all day trolling or posting stupid topics about sh*t. I remember picturing a taxi ride (pre release to IV), watching the city pass; shops, apartments, parked cars, offices.... I arrived at my destination and entered a lobby, with intent to kill a target. IV came out and that vision was spot on, only actually DOING it as awesome! Is anyone doing that now? Imagining cruising in a lowrider, music blaring, checking out the architecture (and if the graphics are good enough, the women) feeling the simulated kiss of a virtual sun - being immersed in the game so much you open your window for some air because the game feels so warm? Or are people bickering at details no one knows, and arguing about the inclusion of things rockstar have denied? If hype has gone down, it's due to people attitudes not rockstar's marketing. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Click here to view my Poetry

kasa
my hype has gone down a lot the last month, maybe also to protect myself for the dissapointment of another delay, untill there is more info Im quite afraid of that (a delay)
ALeSsAnDrO
The hype is clearly dying, judging by GTAF's activity. The March-September delay contributed heavily to it. Not surprising, since there's no meaningful new info, just screens and screens, showing nothing new. There's still no map revealed or proper website launched. I wonder if R* are confident that they can mantain the hype until release, without pulling off something meaningful?
ReconzVenture
In the space of here to gta im going on a lads holiday, a holiday with my family, a musi. Festival and payday 2 is coming out. wwinterj
My hype isn't that strong at the moment and to be honest I'm happy it isn't. To much hype can lead to disappointment. Although with that said when it gets to September I'll be like a fat kid with cake. Not only will GTA V almost be out but so will Kingdom Hearts 15 HD remix. Killerdude
How is Hype dying? GTA V is quite possibly the most hyped game out there, And what is causing this hype you may ask? Lack of Info, Just not knowing what's going to happen is MORE than enough for the majority of people, including myself. As we move ever so closer to the release date, People just keep getting more and more excited knowing that game they've been waiting for? Is just around the corner. Wait till a week before release, People will be sh*tting their pants with excitement.
e1999KrayzieBone
They don't need to be hyping anything right now. They've probably exceeded their pre-order goals, and I'd expect the next wave of advertising/marketing to come around the release to get those casual gamers on board. I know as a fan you can't wait to see more, but it's not in their best interest to keep shoveling coal into the fire this early. (It's still June.) waikzguy8998
With < (3) months to go, I think all it will take is 1 more batch of screen and another trailer (possibly some gameplay) spread out over the course of the next 2.5 months and we'll be good to go
Travís.
Just f*cking wait, there's only 2 months and a bit until it's released. Six Paths of Pain
We have what, like 76 days till GTA V comes out? Thats enough to keep me satisfied Just looking forward to walking over to GameStop and playing GTA V for 10+ hours straight on my "sick day" from work lol. Grand_Theft_Coupe
I've always anticipated GTAV since R* first announced it 2 years ago in October of 2011. Yes, I have to agree on the long painful wait, but I have a good feeling that throughout the agonizing patience of waiting, it's worth the wait all along!
