Someone will be max rank in under 72 hours guaranteed. LOL I remember whenever the leaderboard thing went live for RDR I was shocked by how maxed people were. It was a lose/lose thing. Nemesis2252 Posted June 28, 2013 Share Posted June 28, 2013 in IV, i actually didnt notice many modders/hackers/cheaters until a few years later. not that i didnt see any in that time frame, they were just 1 in every 150+ games so it was almost unnoticeable to me. then they became more popular. i went on GTA IV about a month or 2 ago and you cant even get a game that hasnt been modded now. regarding V, i dont know how strongly R* will enforce it. i honestly dont see this GTA being as popular as some of the other titles for as long, due to next gen consoles arrived literally a couple months after GTAV launch. dont get me wrong, i dont think it will be dead, i just dont think it will survive as long as IV has and will eventually lose a lot of support from R* Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If the structure is different (not using the same file for cars that they did for example) and without having the PC version as a road map, it could take some time for people to ruin it. Like others before me have said, hopefully Rockstar will do something about it this time though and get modders/hackers....ruiners forced to play with themselves. For the above reason I mentioned I hope a PC version does not come out, not to hate on the PC gamers, but to not give a blueprint to those who like to ruin. But lets not blame console hacking/modding/ruining on just Rockstar. If the services (xbox live or Playstation Network) actually banned MAC addresses of consoles that mod instead of just banning accounts, effectively making the system paperweights, then we might not have ruiners. For those who say that Sony or Microsoft won't do this cause it will cost them money, I say BS..... Having to buy a new console cause your kid ruins the one you have is part of being a parent and you deserve to buy a new console (if you want one) and take the cost out on the kid by chores or some other punishment. If you're an adult that is a ruiner, you should have to pay for a new console or not ruin yours in the first place. Just my two cents. You really dont know what youre talking about do you? Prior to all that I had an awful lot of fun doing a large variety of things in the MP. When hacks started showing up it became harder and harder to do things like that without just getting slaughtered. I guess they are fueled by everyone raging at them. I can't say that I played much multi in GTA IV but I am really looking forward to the multi in V. It sounds like R* is going to do something amazing with it, especially since we already know that crews will be returning in V. Would be a shame if it's ruined by hackers. I guess R* will deal with them the same way they "dealt" with them in MP3, they will simply throw them into a cheaters pool to play against other cheaters. Don't really see what else can be done unless there is some feature they can implement to detect that someone has a hack and they are auto-kicked from the match.
