Original post: Based on what I know about the Marketing for GTA V, since the official announcement about the game's release they did something odd compared to previous GTAs. They had a year of silence basically, but since the start of marketing from trailer 2 they have followed a similar schedule. After announcing their usual only delay, things have followed a somewhat similar pattern, the release of Trailer 3 about 4 months and 17 days before release. The next major milestone happened for IV was the website launch on February 8th 2008. 81 days before the release. So far for V every major milestone, such as trailers and previews have happened the same number of months before release compared to IV. If this pattern continues then the website will launch this Friday, 28th June 2013 - 81 days from release. There will probably be an announcement tomorrow or rumours similar to the day before IVs website launch I'll say again, all major events in marketing so far have happened exactly the same as IV +/- 5 days. Trailer 3 IV (145 days before) and Trailer 3 V (140 days before). I certainly hope this happens haha. After seeing all that happened earlier, as well as a website making an article based on my speculation I still reckon it is gonna happen very soon. You can call me whatever, but all of the points are based on coincidences, maybe we'll see the website launch 81 days before like IV, coincidence or not, I hope it happens soon. tinman187 Posted June 27, 2013 Share Posted June 27, 2013 Thought about this the other day. Nobody knew about the website launch for IV until the day before, the same may happen for V. They might announce tomorrow that the website will launch on Friday, so you never know. As with IV, multiplayer info did not drop until a month prior, I think we'll probably get info on M.P for V in August. What we will probably see soon after the website launch are some "hand's on preview's". Soon as the website launches, im sure R* will update it weekly with new screenshot's and video's up until the day of release like with IV. Fun times are ahead. September is obviously out of the question, too close to launch to hype anything. August is still to close as from August 1st, there will be only 48 days until launch. July, from July 1st there is 79 days until launch, that fits perfectly in the timeframe you would expect, my guess would be July the 1st or maybe even July the 4th, as GTA is all about the persuit of the mighty dollar, Independence Day resembles that. One thing about all these timeframes is they are usually pretty similar, but as GTA is their flagship product they treat it very differently to say RDR or Max Payne with regards to information. People wanting the gameplay videos that they did with RDR and MP3 should have known to be sorely disappointed, but not to worry. Less than 82 days to go now. The way this month ended with July 1st being a Monday, it won't be that day, but it would make sense on Thursday the 4th as you say. Also we are overdue information (not that we deserve it obviously- don't wanna act spoiled) but the last drought from 31st January (the day of the delay announcement) until the third trailer was 55 days, and 57 days until the second round of previews on the 2nd of May. Its currently 58 days and counting since those previews- time is flying by- before we know it we'll be popping the disc in the tray and watching the magic happen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's pretty similar so far since the last previews, it'll be more weekly information or bits of information once the site is up (if it's anything like the previous releases). IV had lots of different websites appearing with previews and like a few screens here or there. Then multiplayer previews, and the official IV site launched, with say bi-weekly updates up to the game's release. Finally there was trailer 4 and the TV launch trailer. Should step up soon, never in the history of R* or T2 after they officially announced the delay of a game, and set an expected launch date have they delayed a game for a second time.
