When I went to the new store where my preorder had been transferred they stated they had no preorder for me. So I bought it twice plus the SE cost. Did you put money down at the store that closed? That would be a rip-off. I payed the full 60 for it at the store that closed, they gamestop called me saying the preorder had been transfered to a new store. When I went to the store they said they didnt have the preorder. I called customer service and told them I did not have the receipt since it was back in november of 2012, but I had bank statements. They told me too bad WHAT?! Dude, I know some people dont't care about $60, but it's the principal. They should be more professional, they defrauded you. It would be a waste of time to take them to court. But they need to be careful, you're GTA fan after all. For legal reasons, Don't go all Trevor on them! Dont get me started, I was sooo f*cking mad. But the guy at the new gamestop was really nice. There was nothing he could do though You should call corporate they tell them you have your bank statement Im sure they will be able to take care of you I did. I called customer service first, then I called gamestop corporate offices. They said they couldnt do anything for me without receipts. Capricornus Posted June 27, 2013 Share Posted June 27, 2013 Knowing me, I probably would for whatever reason. I have all 3 current gen consoles, and I did the same thing with Sonic Unleashed. I bought it for the PS3 first, and then bought it for my 360. I also had the Wii version before those 2 but got rid of it. The PS3 and 360 version of Sonic Unleashed was a damn great game IMO, don't care what the likes of IGN says. I can see myself doing the same for GTA V. I am going with the PS4 for next-gen so I would really like for Rockstar to release V on next-gen so I won't have to pay $120 a year for online gaming. Even if I have a high-end gaming PC by then (highly doubtful), the game won't be out for PC yet, but I would probably want the PC version if I did have one. So in that sense, I would end up getting two. Or if I have a PS4 and there's a next-gen version available later, then I would end up getting that. It depends whether I spring for a PS4 or a PC (and in the case that I get a PS4, it also depends on whether or not there will even be a next-gen port). I wouldn't be so sure as I assume the PC version will be a port of the console version and the next gen version(if it happens) will be a port of the PC version. Still we will have to wait and see. If they put in the work to make it a better game. Most here seem to think that just putting it on next gen automatically makes it better. No it has to have work done on it. However, I'm pretty sure that if they were going to bother doing a next gen port in the first place, that they would take up some of the settings to make use of the better hardware like they do for their PC versions, the difference being that we won't be able to scale it back or higher. I had GTA IV on PS3 from release up until 2010, but traded it in to get the 360 version. One reason I done that was because I had EFLC on 360 and I'm a bit OCD having sequels/expansions on the same console. As for buying both versions at the same time? No not for me. I suspect the DLC will be three episodes each focusing on one of the main characters and their supporting characters, if that's the case then it'll definitely be worth a rebuy.
