Algonquin Assassin
I've been seeing a lot of fans demanding for a second prominent city in GTa V. And I'm not talking about some hick towns surrounded by wilderness, I mean real genuine cities based on real life places like how San Andreas had SF and LV to compliment the main character's home base. But it got me thinking, why do we have to beg or ask for more cities in 2013? Shouldn't this be a given? Wouldn't you assume that after San Andreas that Rockstar would have been smart enough on their own to start realizing that they need to start including as many cities as possible for future games? This one city sh*t doesn't cut it anymore, sorry this is 2013. There are so many cities in the US that you cant make a gta for them all, the only option is to INCLUDE MORE cities within each gta. San Andreas came out in 2004 on an old system, the original XBOX and had 3 big cities. This game is almost ten years old, with a better map than gta 4 and looks like it'll be a better map than gta 5 too. HOW????? Come on man, why are we going backwards with maps? You've gotta improve this sh*t, not take steps backwards. Fans shouldn't have to ask for sh*t that we had on a 10 year old game, it should be the standard now. NO ONE could have ever thought back in 2004 when san andreas came out with 3 cities that we'd be begging Rockstar to at least attempt similar maps 10 years later. Shiiiiit Well play SA then. GTA V will be more realistically scaled like GTA IV was compared to GTA III. To be honest even for its time SF and LV always felt like they were tacked onto SA's map as afterthoughts and the map itself was incredibly condensed and not very convincing. "Oh look I can see LV across the water even though I'm standing in the middle of god damn countryside". You're right we are in 2013 so we deserve a more geographically authentic map instead of a squished tri city state again. GTAaLEX117
Rockstar have created a big, hugely detailed city its not that big. if the limited edition map is correct, Los Santos is the size of Dukes and Bohan combined. im guessing the extra detail will go into sea floors and mountains/forests. Well not really, the blueprint map shows LS as about the same size or larger than the whole landmass of Liberty City (minus the water).
ZuParadox
Am i the only one who doesn't really want another city? I much prefer to have towns scattered around the place, each having their own unique feel - for me, i love exploring in open world games and all of sudden coming across a new town on the map is far more exiting than visiting another major city. Grand_Theft_Coupe
We have had topics like this every single day! What does it take for some of you people to realize that Los Santos is the only got damn city that exist within the GTAV open-world area! I believe that the people who make these threads have a hard time understanding things and learning how to cope with information... When R* announced GTAV, they didn't say that this was going to be a aka "San Andreas 2"!

Futo
I'm happy with everything i've seen and can't wait to play it. R* will have extra stuff in there to surprise us and to discover, that is obvious. If there is another city then that's just a big bonus for me. Some peeps are never happy. R* won't dissapoint.

Yeah I can dig that. Love finding stuff out in the sticks. Another city would be a great surprise but finding loads of little places and settlements in countryside is just as appealing. I agree. I think another major city would feel out of place and spread the story too thin. That's why I didn't really like SA's story as SF snd LV had to be shoehorned into it. This way we get a detailed city and countryside which wont be as dead and lifeless as SA's. People like the OP seem to forget R* could've made a tri city state again, but it's not SA HD. GTA V will have its own, unique flavour. I fail to see where having more than one city means it's always better.

Durden
GTAF member for 6 years, yet you make a thread like this. Unless you registered to GTAF at the age of 6 and are a pre-pubescent kid right now, you're probably intellectually disabled (nice way to say retarded).
