Mr. Scratch
LA Noire doesn't have much going on after you finish the story, the map is huge but it's useless.
GTAFan20
Edit: Lol, I meant: If you've never play RDR than buy RDR... If you don't have RDR, buy LA Noire Edited June 26, 2013 by GTAFan20

I just want to walk and drive on la noire not interested on minigames Then LA Noire is a must have for you. It's a great game, the storyline is one of the best of this gen imo. and the city is huuuuge.
Macabro
If you havent played RDR, get that. The map in LA noire is big and pretty but there's nothing to do on it after you finish the game. I was kind of shocked at how they would make such a large and beautiful map and let it go to waste like that. KingAJ032304

TakinThyBacon
I would recommend it, like was said before, the map itself is huge, but there is not much to do once the storyline is complete, but if you take your time with it you could probably keep yourself pretty entertained with it till sept. 17th

SlappyPwnsAss
The game is really, really good... I think you should buy it. The story is fairly long. Its not repetitive and the story is interesting. Definitely buy it.
BallinOutOfMind
Mafia 2 and Sleeping Dogs are 2 games that I would also recommend. KingAJ032304
Crimie
LA Noire is a very good game, one of my favourites, highly recommended, once you understand that its not like a GTA game its a detective game, but Rockstar style! so if that interests you buy it! Its not the longest storyline so you can free roam throughout, responding to street crimes and finding collectibles! Skyrim also very good game, will keep definitely keep you going until V! vivalavendredi
First of all: LA noire isn't a sandbox game. Somehow I enjoyed the game, but on the other hand it was very repetitive. But as a second-hand-game it's good enough for playing. I wouldn't pay the full price for it again. Oh, and for free-roam: There isn't much to do in freeroam. You can hunt down criminals that try to do something around the map and you can drive through the streets and the architecture is great but the city itself feels empty. You cannot do anything beside collecting things (newspapers) and this criminal-hunt-thingie

SHould i buy it just to free roam after completing the game? Worth it? THank you Just so you know - Rockstar prefer the term 'open world' rather than sandbox. Playing LA Noire will certainly give you a taste of a digitized California, but it's not an open-world game - the city is more of a backdrop to the plot, but a very good one. Kaster
Got sleeping dogs saints row 3 (PSN PLUS) dont like them for free roaming. Map are not inmersive. I am looking for very detailed map just to see them. I truly say you that i love gta4 just to see the city every time i play it i discover something new and fresh, i love just to take a taxi and see the city. So i hope that la noire would be like this. Druffmaul
I agree with the guys who are pointing out that it's a mistake to call LA Noire a sandbox game or an open world game. It's neither. It has a nice big map, but there's nothing to do. If you're not doing a mission, you're doing nothing. I'm a native of LA and it was fun for me to just look around at the city and spot actual landmarks that still exist in the real LA... but if you're not from LA I think it would be pretty boring. It's not a teeming GTA style city.

ScotchMouth
The game itself got old quick. The map is huge but essentialy useless with nothing to do. It is quite cheap but.... I really can't recommend it

Anonamix
Great game.. but very linear. There are no side missions or anything to do around the city. A few collectibles will have to busy for a little bit.. but I would not recommend it for a free roam/sandbox experience.
creed200569
Sleeping Dogs by far. That game has one of the best storylines ever. The fighting is great, there's tons of collectibles and you can use the environment as a weapon. Only downfall was no MP but the single player was great. Def need to check that out
Dr Bannington
You dont have to play anything you dont want. I still plan on getting max payne 3 soon but i have no intention on playing the first 2. I did the same with the mass effect series. I played 2 and 3 about a million times and then eventually tried 1. All it was was frustrating controls and dated graphics. It didnt really add anything to the experience. Maybe if i played it in order it would have been different but i didnt an i dont have a time machine.
