Journey of Fantasy

1)Outfit changing:

What do you guys think about the Outfit system in V ?

Will it be the long hell method of going behind the door like in SA or the shorter method like it as in IV or something even more advanced ?

2)Variety of Outfits:

What about variety of outfits ? It was more in SA era and lesser in IV era.

3)Removal:

How will the player remove the outfit ?

Lets discuss about it here.

What do you all thinking ?

1) It needs to be more advanced. The system itself was kinda cool in IV, but I think we should have a better look before dressing at the clothes and also a better overview in our closet of the cloths we bought already.

2) It was already kinda confirmed that there is a wider variety then in IV - less variety wasn't possible biggrin.gif

3) I don't know what you mean. Remove the outfit before we buy it or remove it from the body or remove it from the closet? Maybe Trevor can strip down to his undies and burn his clothes down biggrin.gificon14.gif

The thing that worries me is that Red Dead and LA Noire made outfits unlockable rewards and Max Payne which had no customization changed Max's look from chapter to chapter.

I wonder if it'll actually be like in GTAIV or Saints Row III where you have a wardrobe with purchased items or will it be a case of: Michael wears a grey suit in a cutscene and then after the cutscene and mission end that suit is unlocked and selectable in his closet.

What I'm getting at is will I be able to wear a shirt from one of the screenshots with the pants from another screenshot or is it only a complete outfit without interchangeable parts like the suits from LA Noire and the gang outfits from RDR?

I think it will be a bit different. I think it was Trevor's trailer where you could see some clothes hanging in a closet. You pick which one you wanna try (so you see what you are picking), and you have it smile.gif

Hopefully not! We had this in TBOGT. For some outfits it makes sense (suits and so on) but I wanna combine clothes like wearing a cargo pants with a shirt or the same pants but with a tank-shirt.

I'm pretty sure it will be a combination of both somehow.

THIS

I'm hoping its more like SA than IV and nothing like RDR or LAN

I want to be able to rock a Blue knit hoody from say Suburban

A pair of stone wash jeans from MODO or Cargoes shorts from

Binco, a Gold watch and gucci like shades and a Cuban or Fendi link chain from Perseus,

And some Navy Blue and white high tops from Prolapse

All as one custom outfit of my choosing not a predetermined unlocked outfit

And yes this would be for Franklin as he is my fav and the one I can relate to most.

I want to be able to wear a police outfit, it doesn't have to have some type of "never wanted" feature, it would just be fun to run around killin people while looking like a cop tounge2.gif I also enjoy doing some police roleplay when playin gta but it's not as fun without a good police outfit!

All protagonists changed in their trailers clothes many times, I love that.

In our new Czech magazine about games, was preview about GTAV, and there's info about when you'll do bad things, like stealing cars, so people starts to taking photos of ya, we know this info already I know, but that means, it would be more like in Mafia II if you ever played this game.Police will knows your identity thanks people from streets, and you will must to change it.

In Mafia II it was very annoying so I know that R* know what they doing.

And Trevor is so damn awesome sexy in all clothes in his trailer, nuh...

I liked unlocking special outfits like in RDR. They will probably be something like that combined with stores like in GTAIV.

In menu, journals... those things to do like killin deers, armadillos and others animals.

Btw in GTAV will be hunting maybe, so... unlockin special outfits would be fine!

How the f*ck should we know?

I don't think we'll see them taking their clothes off. It's not necessary, a fade is enough. This is not "Grand Theft Clothes Shift."

Clothes off feature could be seen with Michael and Trevor, and we all have yet to see Franklin's 6 pack, I think this is possible.

You can see in Trevor's trailer when he says "bring me my coffee or I'll cut your arms off" that behind him he has a closed with a variety of clothes that he wears in trailers/screens...

What the f are you talking about? This is a discussion about GTAV, which no one has played yet. No one knows how the customization will work! Rockstar said GTAV would be influenced by everything they learned from the games that came after GTAIV you pos, that's why I'm asking if GTAV's customization will also be influenced by these games, you f'ing pea brain.

I don't care how it is as long as its faster.

  • Select shirt
  • Ten minutes later...
  • "I don't like that"
  • Repeat until you give up.

Yeah, didn't find the experience enjoyable at all. That's why I was such a fan of what they did in Sleeping Dogs and Saints Row III. Hopefully they take a cue from those games...especially considering that Sleeping Dogs had purchasable individual clothing items like shoes and shades but then you'd also be able to unlock a unique outfit through completing missions like in LA Noire.

I want a "remove" option and not have to switch the item with another set of pants. Trevor doesnt need pants

The Armageddon(Temp)

I want to just view the clothes player wears by using a menu. Like, we select the tank and instantly, without any time waste, the tank is put on the player. I do not like the fading effect much in GTA 4 and the 'going behind the door and coming out after few seconds' system in SA is just too boring and frustating.

So yeah, though it will look unrealistic as to how suddenly the tank appeared on the player, at least it wont cost the frustation in clothes selection. Sometimes its just better that way than realistic approach.

HOW'S ANNIE?
1) I thought changing outfits in IV was still too slow.

Agreed. We need a list of clothing items as opposed to scrolling through them.

For removal, they should go behind a translucent partition which reveals their naked silhouette when their clothes are off tounge.gif jk

I think they'll have a different outfit on each day or maybe after waking up from a save.
