Journey of Fantasy
The only reaction I saw was in GTA IV where they were using umbrellas. What do you guys think ? What do you guys expect ? What do you guys wish ?
tom_p1980
I wanted to use an umbrella.
poklane
Would be cool to see NPCs without an umbrella use their newspaper over their head, or maybe when they're close to home they'll start walking a bit faster.
Karoi
Well R* wanted to go realistic right? So I'm guessing that the NPC's will respond just quite well.

I saw that happen in IV quite a few times actually. I'd like to see people run for shelter when it rains really hard, get out of the water at the beach when the sun goes down more and more and it gets colder looking etc, but I doubt it'd be that advanced. GeertjeBeertje
I remember people running with their hands above their heads in the rain in GTA IV
waikzguy8998
i want the npcs to get struck by lightning or carried away by high surf

This. I would love to see them run under a roof and walk close to houses with wide roofs and buildings in downtown. Also you see them walking faster, some running, and some jump from thunders and lightning. Heck, imagine some screaming while running!
vivalavendredi
As there are thunderstorms and stuff this time I think that npcs will search for shelter during a storm or heavy rain, use newspapers or tablets (not iFruits, the ones from restaurants… don't know if I use the correct wording) to avoid getting wet and so on. Maybe they sometimes they are frightened when a thunderstruck sound appears and so on. Would love to see it. The 5 o'clock guys said that the whole npc behaviour and reaction to music and stuff is much much better then in IV and the city felt vibrant and alive so my hopes are high
jamieleng
They do more than just put up umbrellas. Some will run for cover & others will cover their head with objects (newspaper, bag etc). They also blow into their cupped hands to warm themselves. We've seen some quite impressive looking weather effects. Imagine if you very occasionally see lightning strike a tree or the ground. Or even more hilariously, a person.
RedDagger
In IV pedestrians used umbrellas in the rain and carried on walking normally, or covered their heads with newspapers or their hands and ran. It would be nice to see them, say, stand under cover e.g. a bus shelter or the overhang in front of shops. In regards to other forms of weather the only two I can think of where they react would be wind, say holding onto their hats, and snow, where they might react similarly to rain. It would also be cool if cars drove slower in thick fog, rain and snow, and accidents were more likely to happen.

voltaire
What I just want is realistic beach behavior. Don't know if I'm imagining this but I seem to remember in Vice City that even when it started to rain women would still walk around on the beach in bikinis and lay on the beach tanning. I also want NPCs to play beach games like volleyball...so I can drive through their volleyball net.

The screenshots of Vespucci beach show lots of activity & a wide variety of different peds in one place. I think that part of the map will be a great place to cause some havoc. Macabro
I dont think they would take it out. That would be moving backwards. They know people would call them out on it.
Leafy Hollow
The reactions they already have are nice, the already search for cover, run, and use umbrellas. The only thing else I could think of is if you splashed an NPC with your car will it's raining they get soaked and yell/fight you.
Revolution-XW
I can't wait to get the weather cheats after finishing the story and testing the storm ones! AuSsIeThUnDeR36
You all seem to be forgetting this is LS we are talking about here. It's not going to be raining a lot so don't worry. There will be sun. Lots of sun.
XXVIII
When it rains, all the black people should run for cover. OT: Window sweeps for cars would be nice. Yes, indeed! This is what I am hoping is an implemented feature: functional windshield wipers, with heavy usage chiefly when there is a torrential downpour.
