Travís.
I've been playing GTA since I was about 6 or 7, and it was GTA 1. I am now 17 and i'm a normal teenager, playing violent games didn't affect me. So those with kids, will you let them play? and for people without kids, will you let you future kids play the GTA series?

d3ex2
I've been playing GTA games since I was 9. It didn't affect me in a bad way. I would definitely let my kids play the games. GTA actually affected me positively. I fell in love with the worlds that Rockstar created in III/VC/SA and IV. I explored them all and it got me interested in actually travelling around the world. I love going to new cities and I can be happy at any time in my own city. I appreciate every little detail I see when wandering around my city and it makes me happy. So yeah my kids can play GTA all they want. It did me more good than bad.
simonp92
No. Even if I played GTA as I a child, I see no reason as to why my kids should play, there's plenty of other goods games for kids out there. Lock n' Stock
Well I don't have kids but if I did, I think I'd at least hold GTA off for them until they were about 13-15. That's how old I was when I was finally allowed to own GTA games.

Revolution-XW
Not only did I become mature at a young age by playing GTA games, I also got better at reading and writing better. Appart from enjoying the game and having a lot of fun.
tinman187
Been playing GTA since I was 8 and yet I wouldn't hurt a fly lol It depends on how my kid's are. If they seem to have violent tendencies, then chances are no, and will wait till they get older. If they are like me, "kind hearted and sweet" , then sure, why not. But I will probably mute the game even though I would know that they cuss and swear as soon as they get to school lol

Well, I'm not saying we should take GTA discs, put them in and order the kids to play it. But if they see me playing and say, hey it's fun, can I play. Why not, if they understand that's just a game. I remember I was maybe 12 when I first played GTA Vice City and I did a lot ''violent'' things in game, but that's what 90% of games are about. But I knew it's a game and that's the place to just have fun.
bfett21
Considering they are 6 mos and 2? No. They hate when I play anyway, well, the 2 year old does anyway, 6 month year old kinda just sits there.
UltimateVenom
Kids are way to protected these days, its bullsh*t. "Now, Speaking of parents and speaking of bullsh*t, two ideas that aren't always mutually exclusive, by the way, I'd like to mention a special kind of bullsh*t that has taken hold in this country in the last thirty to forty years. It's a form of bullsh*t that really can only be called "child worship". It's child worship. It's this excessive devotion to children. I'm talking about today's professional parents, these obsessive diaper sniffers who are overscheduling and over managing their children and robbing them of their childhoods. Even the simple act of playing has been taken away from children, and put on mommy's schedule in the form of "play dates". Something that should be spontaneous and free is now being rigidly planned. When does a kid ever get to sit in the yard with a stick anymore? You know? Just sit there with a fu**ing stick. Do today's kids even know what a stick is? You sit in the yard with a f*cking stick... and you dig a fu**ing hole. You know? And you look at the hole, and you look at the stick... and you have a little fun. But kids don't have sticks anymore. I don't think there are any sticks left; I think they've all be recalled because of lead paint! Who would have thought that one day, the manufacturing of sticks would outsourced to China? Isn't this really just a sophisticated form of child abuse? And speaking of that, speaking of child abuse, next up: GRADE SCHOOL! Grade school, where he won't be allowed to play tag because it encourages victimization. And he won't be allowed to play dodgeball because it's exclusionary, and it promotes aggression. Standing around is still okay. Standing around is still permitted, but it won't be for long, because sooner or later some kid is going to be standing around and his foot will fall asleep, and his parents will sue the school, and it will be goodbye fu**ing standing around!" -GC
BouzyWouzy
Of course I would! I don't give a damn what the republicans say in 'Merica, they just want to keep their real guns and blame everything on videogames. Can't stand those assholes! I've played GTA since I was 10 years old and it didn't affect me in any way.

waikzguy8998
I didn't play GTA as young as 6 or 7 (the only ones out at the time were GTA 1/2) but yeah I started around early Middle and High School time, still fairly impressionable. However, as a kid I didn't spend the majority of my time on it blasting people and acting crazy,,,naw I was role playing in it with my fancy cars, cool houses all over town, pretending the choppers were personal ones, etc...Ya know, role playing in the game because I could and it was fun All the nay-sayers bitch about it because they've never used it themselves nor had a kid that used it
Eutyphro
Hah pussies when I was 8 I committed my first murder and smoked my first cocaine bitchezz wow, you are such a badass and totally telling the truth. On topic: I would give my kid GTA if he was 10, 11 or 12 and in good mental health. Not before that. It's way too mature for a younger child. I would let him play the 2d GTA's before that.. And Pokemon. lol Edited June 26, 2013 by gtaxpert
Mcquiz
I have a little brother but he can't really play on console yet but I'm pretty sure he wants to sit on my lap and watch me play. Race-n-Chase
I've played III/VC/SA/IV with my now 11 year-old son since he was 7 or 8. I think it only contributed to prepare him for the real world, which often isn't the case with all these overprotected kids nowadays who don't seem to find their way into society when they have to do it on their own. And btw, it's so cool to be hyped as hell for V together Does anyone else share this experience? Edited June 26, 2013 by Race-n-Chase
