Do you think if Kevin Rudd's reinstated that the Australian Classification Board will have a change in leadership hence making it possible that V's got better chances getting past the R18+ challenge.

Thought it'd be fair to add that I'm pro Rudd. I can't stand Gillard and the fact she doesn't listen to the people and I don't want to see democracy killed with an unopposed coalition government getting in.

Meh, I have nothing against Gillard. I just don't want to see Tony Abbott become our Prime Minister.

On topic: No. If Kevin Rudd does become Prime Minister again; it won't affect how the Australian Classification Board classifies GTA V. As far as I am aware, the Prime Minister doesn't really effect the decision making (as far as classification ratings are concerned) of the classification board as they would still be following the same guidelines. Furthermore, again as far as I am aware, for any changes to these guidelines to be made; the Attorney General's of each state would have to unanimously agree to it (which needed to happen for the R18+ rating to be passed in the first place).

You have to understand that these two games have been banned for very similar reasons. Saint's Row IV included an Anal Probe for a weapon, hence the "implied sexual violence" as well as Alien Narcotics, ingested in the same way as you would real drugs, that give the player character superpowers (State of Decay had something similar, though exactly what has not been stated). If Crank makes Trevor regain his "Special" ability faster, then Australian's may be in some trouble, but as it stands, everything in this game is above board.

Basically, it has nothing to do with the graphic violence in these games, but rather other smaller factors that can easily be modified so that the game is granted classification.

No.

Labor is still Labor, no matter who the figurehead is.

There has been no party policy shift between the leaders last time.

The leaders do not personally make classification board decisions, not do they have influence unless it is controversial enough (only ones outraged are gamers). It is not even a 100% federal issue (meaning it has nothing to do with the Prime Minister), a lot of the influence is coming from the states who are enforcing the decisions.

Abbott/Coalition are no better, the are even more conservative on social issues.

Your Best Bet is to vote for the Pirate Party or Sex Party (or if you really have to, The Greens, even though that might send the wrong message that you support their other policies - and some of their policies are pretty bad once you scratch the surface) who actually have policies against censorship.

After 2012 I didn't mind she was PM, but now she knows the situation and still won't listen to us. I know longer care what ends up happening to her as she ignored us entirely. I see what you're saying. I see what you're saying, that isn't good at all then.

I'm confused what the situation with State of Decay is? Only thing that made Xbox have credibility of late.

I'm not much for politics but I hope he comes back, he seems a lot more genuine than the other candidates. Kevin '07 all the way. I still find it amazing how someone that wasn't elected as an individual for the role of Prime Minister by the voting public has managed to remain in charge of things for this long. Maybe it's just me, but the way Gillard talks down to people when giving a press conference like she's still a school teacher with young students is a little strange to say the least.

A spill's going to happen at 7pm, so don't worry about the fact it is or isn't happening. I doubt they'll stab him in the back, they can't get away with it twice lol.

Looks like Bill Shorten's going to a press conference, is this bad? Does this mean he may run?

Rudd has won. It's still a joke and Labor still hasn't got a chance at winning this election, but at least Conroy is gone. He was very much behind a mandatory internet filter which kept coming back on the agenda after each election.

Surely Gillard won't remain P.M again after all that's happened over there.

Respect to Julia! She did some great things, no point bagging her out as she has done a lot for the country, she hasn't been able to connect to the voters though hence myself and others began to considering change would make things right.

The new Rudd is a good man and I support him, the old Rudd was alright but I can see why he was overthrown, let's just forget all this for now, support Rudd, respect Gillard and help the ALP win the next election or at least to the point they can keep democracy active.

PM wouldn't be able to influence the classification board as they are appointed internally and work within the censors current regulations..

Absolute crap if State Of Decay got banned I see a very bleak path for V. We have an R18 rating. USE IT, they wanted it so bad but no your still going to ban games. If V gets banned,we riot definitely not missing out on my collectors edition. Sick of Australia and our pussy ass conservative mentality.

What's what SoD was banned for? That's f*cking stupid, how'd max Payne get past those ratings hahaha

"Autraila? Who cares?"

Australia is an English speaking country that doesn't happen to be wallowing in debt (from what I can see). That should be one reason.

Just a shame Australia is also losing some of its cultural identity, not good & bad stereotypes, but interesting ones. The Down Under of the late 70's & 80's, has been replaced by a bunch of politically correct busybodies.

That's true. Max heals himself by taking painkillers, most likely Oxycontin/Percocet/Vicodin & in cutscenes, all washed down with some Kong Whiskey. Also, pretty much every level set in Brazil has loads of drugs lying around (like seriously, hundreds of millions of dollars worth). Pretty much every stimpak in a game set in the real world would probably consist of morphine/amphetamines/adrenaline to work in any way like they do in the game (though none of those drugs/medicines would help heal you. Considering these 'stimpaks' are usually obtained illegally in the game (Max just picking them up from random places) should be seen as promoting illegal activity. There's just no consistency or common sense.

I completely agree with you bro. How isn't it SoD's drag taking in context with the story? I just don't..

HOW'S ANNIE?

The prime minister has NOTHING to do with the classification board's decisions on what does and doesn't get released.
