FutoDriver
VGChartz have been proven time and time again to be plain bullsh*t. Just a bunch of guys making "guesstimates" at best, these guys aren't official hence why they aren't endorsed by any official chart company. I don't know why some forum members on various boards keep using it as reliable source

Before the gameplay - 7000 pre orders a week After the gameplay - 27,000 pre orders a week You were right. Just checked and it's about 27,000 on each console. josephene123
Just saw this on CVG: Call of Duty: Ghosts is the most preordered title leading up to the October / November release season, according to research by an analyst firm. The data comes via analysts Cowen & Co, which compiles data based on NPD sale statistics and Amazon.com bestseller information. Titles are given a score based on patterns observed from these sources over the past five years, with the firm claiming its projections are between 96 and 97 per cent accurate. Call of Duty: Ghosts is the top ranked title at 73 points, followed by Watch Dogs and Grand Theft Auto 5 at 69.6 and 58.4 respectively. Cowen analyst Doug Creutz notes that Ghosts is currently under-performing when compared to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Meanwhile, Creutz admits that the ranking for GTA V is "almost certainly" incorrect, as the company's data only accounts for sales made since E3 2013. The title has been available for preorder since November 2012. Multi-platform games rank the highest, with the first next-gen exclusive title ranking fifth in the form of Killzone Shadow Fall for PlayStation 4. Forza 5 is the highest ranking Xbox One exclusive, ranking seventh. The list: 1. Call of Duty: Ghosts (73) 2. Watch Dogs (69.6) 3. Grand Theft Auto V (58.4) 4. Battlefield 4 (54.7) 5. Killzone: Shadow Fall (30.3) 6. Assassin's Creed IV (29.2) 7. Forza 5 (18.8) 8. Diablo III (18.2) 9. Batman: Arkham Origins (17.2) 10. Dead Rising 3 (15.0) 11. Ryse (13.2) 12. Saints Row IV (10.1) 13. Knack (7.7) 14. Gran Turismo 6 (5.0) 15. Beyond: Two Souls (3.3) 16. Wolfenstein: The New Order (3.2) 17. Drive Club (3.0) 18. Splinter Cell: Blacklist (2.9) 19. The Bureau: Xcom Declassified (0.4) 20. South Park: The Stick of Truth (0.2) _________________________________________________________________ Even though it says that they're certain it's incorrect due to it only counting preorders after E3, I simply don't believe this data. Watch_Dogs excited me before, but it's E3 showing was surely nowhere near good enough to be beating GTA at the moment. I know COD is a powerhouse but I can't believe it's doing that much better than GTA atm either, and the VG charts back this up...

jamieleng
If 'The Last of Us' (a PS3 exclusive) can stay at the top of the UK charts for 6 straight weeks, what will V manage? gwaha
There is nothing weird about there being more pre-orders for Watch Dogs. Watch Dogs is being released on more platforms than GTA 5 which helps boost the sales. Not everyone owns a current gen consoles. Gamers who are waiting for a new game to play in a city setting but who are not interested in getting a current gen console will probably sooner opt to just get Watch Dogs than wait for Rockstar to announce a PC version. Rockstar's silence isn't exactly helping.
.Emmi
GTAV is still the most pre-ordered game! COD Ghosts will be released on every platform available - including next-gen versions, same goes for Watch Dogs. GTAV will only be released for PS3 and Xbox at this time - so that kept in mind GTAV has way MORE pre-orders than COD or WD, also the pre-order figures have been recorded since E3 this year - which means the figures for GTAV are incorrect! GTAaLEX117
I'm just going to post this here as well since the previous thread was locked. The CVG chart represents the sales that V made from E3 3013 (around June 11-13) to July 27. Around the 15th of July, V had 337 477 preorders on Xbox and 290 997 on the PS3. Now it has 449 209 and 385 915. That means that the game made 115 732 on the xbox and 94 918, so a total of 210 650. Now the game has 835 124 preorders. 210650*100/835124 = 25% That means that the chart only represents 25% of the total pre-orders that GTA has at this point.
