winme05
My problem is that I often want to watch movies I have on my PC on the TV, which doesn't have a VGA input. The PC that my movies are currently on is a laptop, so no other output. The way I usually watch them is either transfer them to a flash drive and watch them on my hacked Wii (prone to crashes) or write them to a disc (which I don't always have) and let the cheap DVD player do the job. I've seen converters that allow a external PCIe 1x connection over the ExpressCard bus, but I don't have any PCIe GPUs. Are there any convertors that would let me do the same with AGP? I have few spare AGP GPUs with S-Video outputs. One time I found this website Video Cable Schematics which seemed pretty useful until I discovered that the provided software doesn't seem to be compatible with my Intel GPU. However, the spare GPUs I have seem to be supported. If there are any other alternatives (except for buying a new system) I don't mind those
Wolf68k
Does your TV have HDMI? If so you can use this http://www.amazon.com/Video-Cable-Black-Su...y/dp/B002TUC64W You will however need to add the audio. Another idea if you're interested is getting a set-top-box like a Roku or WesternDigital TV Media Player or if you have a PS3 or Xbox360. All of these and be used to stream from your PC to your TV; it's called DLNA. Plus which they all have channels like Netflix and Youtube (not on Roku but there is a way around that) and many more. Nope, that TV isn't even aware of HD. It's an old Schneider CRT tube after all. The best it can do is SCART. Another thing is that it I don't wanna spend on something that I would use only for watching the movies. The adapter would be a totally different thing, as I often want to hook my laptop up to a TV. Add in the fact that I don't have WiFi at the spot where the TV is. Come to think of it, I actually have this Motorola VIP1903 for the TV (streamed via Internet by our ISP). It has two USB ports on it, but I can't seem to find anything in the menus nor the manual given by Lattelecom. Can the thing actually play stuff from flash drives, or that's just for charging sh*t? Wolf68k
Here's a VGA to SCART cable http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hama-SCART-To-VGA-...e/dp/B0002W69MY As for the Motorola VIP1903, the USB ports might not even be active for data even if they can output power. You'll have to call your cable company about that.

I'm kinda interested in that, and even if no AGP is available, PCI would be fine as well.
