It didnt seem hard for them to implement it into midnight club in 2007, surely an easy task now in 2013 lol, and the gameinformer article said he dropped the roof,, why would they take it out if it was in the demo? Seems like a simple animation.. Probably press R3 button on the convi cars

R* is good in cut out features from the game as they did before in any GTA game. There is always cut something out from any orginal GTA game. And with V I think it's going to be that feature and I will be disappointed like you. And I hope it won't but I bet to anyone it will if not then cool

You already announched that we can tune up cars, a really nice feature!! In the trailer we saw a car where the roof automaticly came down turning it in a convertible. It looked really nice and I was wondering if this is a feature wich we can add to different cars when we want to tune/upgrade them.

This is high on the list of things that might get cut due to complexity. It might not seem that complex but when you start thinking of gameplay, all the interactions that can happen, it could get messy.

It's just an animation, not that complex, really. Besides if they go solely with hardtop convertibles, damage could just work like a normal car. I don't see why they will be cutting this aesthetically appealing feature.

We know there are some things that have been removed, like the clothes (or at least Trevor's shirt) wrinkling as the characters move and dust trails being toned down since the first trailer, so it could very well have since it hasn't been seen or mentioned since the first trailer.

I'm not calling bullsh*t, but where has it been confirmed that they removed anything?

Well in the trailers after you can see that clothes no longer wrinkle like in Trailer 2 and the dust cloud behind the cars is a lot smaller in everything we've seen after Trailer 1.

I know its not that much of a feature, but I really was stoked when I saw this in the first trailer. I too was hoping for this since GTA III. However, i have a strong feeling that it will be cut from the game.

 

I hope it isn't cut but with R* you never know.
