That doesn't even take time to do!" You say that as if they've just decided that there would be multiple cities. How come none of you that say that are not smart enough to realize that multiple cities (of any size, shape or reality) could've been planned and developed a long time ago and that they're using misdirection in this age of instant information to preserve some of the kayfabe (mystique/surprise) that is really a lost-art in video games anymore? It's confirmed there wont be multiple cities, properties are very different. Cities are nothing but massive collections of property, not that different at all. Researching of the real life counterpart and building of the in game city is the most time consuming aspect of the entire videogame making process. Honestly, why do people expect them to give out new info over mouthoff emails??? I won't believe Los Santos is the only city until I play the game myself. Even if it is the only city I won't be disappointed. You can never trust a word Rockstar say. Your second sentence contains a great point. These are just people doing customer service. I am not sure what they are privvy to outside of what they are told to say. I am not trying to be a conspiracy theorist but I know R* is pretty tight lipped. It's a need to know basis and customer service reps aren't exactly the top of the chain. I wouldn't expect anything else but the status quo from mouth off emails. Not that many people care about customization in comparison with the amount of cities... More than one is gonna be disappointment when the game is released and there's just one big city. Yeah so let's just start calling Rockstar liars now! And thanks for more topics about R* confirming no other cities, it stops those thousands of others that keep telling themselves and us that there secretly is a "Las Venturas" or "San Fierro" I appreciate his effort, but. Other guys will post topics about how there are other cities in the game even though its been confirmed 100x that los Santo s is the only city in the game. Also, for all the idiots that will come in and say "rock star said no properties blah blah blah" what about when they changed their mind and told us they were including them? Yet they still stand beside their one city comment. Also, of all the hardcore more cities crowd, no one has yet to bet me $100 on the subject t Although I personally hope for more cities I accept it is unlikely now. However I would like to counter bet you with an offer of 3 trillion dollars that you are a massive douche. But your probably to scared to take me up on it. No because that would just be stupid. They didn't include those things originally, then everyone bitched so they implemented them and informed us that they are now in. They haven't changed their mind on the one city aspect. Or they just used misdirection and released info in bits over a period of time. They never released any info before the release of IV stating that there is a guaranteed way to get strikes in the bowling mini-game, yet that didn't mean that they did not program said guaranteed way to get strikes in the mini-game into the game. Or a better example, none of the trailers nor pre-release interviews for that new Superman movie stated that towards the end of the movie Superman actually kills the bad guy, yet in the movie he does. I know right now you're thinking to yourself "OMG wait it's possible for entertainment companies to include something in their product without stating it before hand...?!?!?!?! ". But yes, fear not it is not only possible but a common practice for entertainment companies to not reveal their full product & even deny part of their product existing despite it actually existing before said product is released. R* knows how to play us and surprise us.... I 100% believe LS will be the only MAJOR city... I still believe there will be a "large town" or "small city" big enough that some would consider it a city.... I'm hoping for San Diego... and to all you people that argue that San Diego is a large city and not much smaller than LA... I agree with you... but who says it has to be that big? There are thousands of people that work for Rockstar & Take-Two in general it's not some mon & pop organization with only 10 employees struggling to find time to do everything. Rockstar is also known for the fact that it sucks to work there because the days are longer the most other studios & you often find yourself being required to work on Saturdays. If you work 12hr days instead of 10hr days and are also working on Saturday that is roughly 88hrs extra work a month per person compared to most other studios. #2 Who said it had to be based off of a real city? California is known to be the home of dozens of fiction cities across TV/Movies/Literature. What Rockstar is not allowed to create their own fiction version of a generic fictional Californian city? #3 Rockstar has had a presence in San Diego for more then a decade now, it's not really that hard to do research on a city you live in. You keep implying that you are right and that what you say is common sense. It couldn't be further from the truth. You seem like the kind of person that has many of these in their house, so go find a mirror and look into it. There is still plenty of time for them to announce it & for people to pre-order it. Or the inclusion of the "Mythical Hidden City" that is only found by players after the release of the game could also generate some good post release hype & drive some free post release week hype thus leading to more sales outside of the general "landrush" sales that happen on release week. Rock* has told us numerous times that lossantos is the only city in the game.
