d3ex2
If saints row is banned then GTA V will be banned too. Saint's Row is just a joke game. I'd hate to be an Australians GTA fan right now. Or even worse...an Australian GTA fan waiting on PC. No doubt Rockstar will have to cut stuff out the game and censor it if they decide to release it in Australia. Probably means a delay beyond September for CONSOLES. PC ... I don't even know.

BillGates
They banned Saints Row not because it has sexual content, or violence or something no... They banned it because it was a sh*t, ridiculous game. Ok ok ok ok.... In all seriousness.. that sucks. Rockstar will possibly release a modified version of GTA:V for Australia. And GTA:V will have the same thing. Guaranteed. Even if it get passed it, the developers of Saints Row will probably file a complaint that this game (GTA:V) passed the classification. kingcs
Basically a slap in the face to all the people who said Saint's Row is for "kids". Yeah, right. LOL it shows how much of a joke the series has become. Steep so low by going completely over the top. But some people seem to enjoy it. Not gonna knock their preference. Which I did anyway. Staten
What this means is that Saints Row IV has got some free publicity for when it eventually releases in Australia. What does this mean for V? A few articles asking whether V will be banned too.

Matty
The R18+ classification guidelines say: "Implied sexual violence that is visually depicted, interactive, not justified by context or related to incentives or rewards is not permitted." The board says (in relation to Saints Row IV being banned): "In the Board’s opinion, Saints Row IV, includes interactive, visual depictions of implied sexual violence which are not justified by context." In other words, the board's main argument for banning Saints Row IV was because it, in their opinion, featured visual and graphic depictions of implied sexual violence that probably does not relate to the storyline itself (i.e; gameplay that is so over the top and violent that it didn't even pass for the R18+ rating). No game in the GTA series has never really depicted, implied or otherwise, sexual violence; let alone not by context. Violence in general shouldn't be a problem either for GTA V as there has many games released (and not banned in Australia) that are way more violent and gory then any GTA game has ever been. In short, stop worrying. If worse comes to worse and the violent content has to be toned down for the Australian version (which I highly doubt will be the case) - it's not like Rockstar can't just release an patch at a later time to add that toned down content back in, similar to what they did with GTA IV. We get worked up over the smallest thing like video game ratings when theres more important things to worry about. Australia, toughen up and get with the times.
