Laura91
I say do what you want and f*ck the haters. Hell, I'm in my 30's and after rediscovering the Get Along Gang a few months ago, I love it just as much now if not more than what I did when I was a little kid. My computer desk has turned into a shrine for Dotty Dog and Portia Porcupine and that doesn't even take into account of the plushies of them that I have on my couch. If it makes you happy and it isn't harming anyone than what is the big deal? I never was a My Little Pony fan when I was a kid so I never bothered checking out the new versions and I never will. But to those that dig it, be it guy, girl or whatever, I say rock on with yo bad self!

Shoumaker
Yeah, I know who you're talking about and I kind of feel bad about it to be honest being the one who told him to post in the topic. I have my reasons though; firstly, he was posting these pictures in the Hot Chick topic and I felt the Hot Pixel topic would be the best one which suits these types of images since we all have our own preferences. I couldn't care less that he had an interest in these things in all honesty. He wasn't forcing anything on me did he? To answer your question I'm guessing it has to do with the fact every human being is different and we all have an interest in different things no matter how weird it may seem to others. I honestly cant tell you whats so appealing about my "My Little Pony: Friendship is magic" since I don't have an interest in these things myself. You said it was a children's show for little girls but for example Call of Duty is a video game targeted for a mature audience but all you see is kids ranging from 13-14 years old playing it all day. I honestly don't know why they think "sexy" pony cartoons are attractive but like many have said already it's all about your personal preferences. Moonshield already opened the topic again and since this particular user has been warned not to post anymore of these pictures hopefully this issue will not continue. If I had knew that these images would lead to this I wouldn't have told him about the topic in the first place. I just wanted to give him a topic other than the Hot Chick topic and that one seemed to best fit, and it didn't really seem to break any of the rules given. Well, I don't know. I have people that call me weird because I like to listen to harsh noise. I know it's an apples & oranges comparison but my point is that people don't understand my liking it. If a bunch of dudes want to watch a girlie cartoon that is their right. It doesn't harm anyone, after all. Not to mention the fact that some people could view the people on this forum as weird. Think about it...people come here to discuss a video game in depth. Some people could see that as weird. (I don't see it that way or I wouldn't be here, but you get my point.) People who do enjoy the show as adults would disagree with you. Besides, how can you know that the show has no comedic elements if you haven't watched it? How can you possibly enjoy those kids shows from your childhood if the only thing that appeals to you in them is that you grew up watching the shows? I've watched an episode or two of MLP: FiM, and it's not completely mindless. There's some humor involved, and it's just as engaging as any other show on TV these days.* I'd say the show is comparable to the first couple seasons of Spongebob in quality, and that show had quite a number of adult/parent fans. *(I'm not vouching for the show, I'm just trying to get across that legitimate fans of the show aren't crazy for liking it.) Pretty sure I did like 6 months ago when someone made a topic in general chat, there is no humour I could discern whatsoever. If there was, I'm sure there is hundreds of cartoons which actually aim to be humorous that one would watch/could watch. There is pretty much nothing in my little pony that is aimed towards adults. Anyone that says different is probably like this guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSlKh4if6P0&sns=em

Anyone that says different is probably like this guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSlKh4if6P0&sns=em Here's an episode that is obviously trying to incorporate humor (right in the first three minutes too, if you're in a rush). Humor is subjective, there are grown adults who think internet memes are funny. Part of that guy's presentation is advocating that the show does have quality, the exact thing I was doing in my post. Besides quoting TVTropes and memes, and being awkward there's nothing wrong with his presentation, he accurately sums up the show, the show's fanbase, and tries to qualify why he's presenting something aimed at little girls. Maybe if you got over the fact that he's greasy and ugly and actually listened to his presentation you wouldn't feel the way you do about the show. I mean, for crying out loud, at 7:38 he mentions that Lauren Faust admitted the show was created for little girls and their parents. Ziggy455
I watched it. It was a terrible show that many bronies like due to the allegorical sexual representation of the ponies. Typhus
I feel sorry for the bronies. As always. If someone is confident enough not only to masturbate about horses but create erotica for their fetish and publish it on every corner of the internet, I don't think they need your pity. They are a strong, proud minority standing up for their right to have sex with farm animals. You trying to portray them as victims is nothing but thinly veiled bronyphobia and I, for one, will not stand for it. For shame.

WastedEngland
I'm only in my early twenties yet this thread has made me feel old, like I've outmatured the internet or something. Seems like a playground fad, like one of those things that wasn't really that good in the beginning yet a bunch of the easily led have latched onto because if you have an identity on the internet, you feel compelled to protect it by strength in numbers, survival of the fittest yadda yadda. It's pointless questioning if they do it because it's cool or they're trolling because the thing about susceptible people is they'll protect whatever it is even if they don't understand it, in fear of humiliation should they realise they're just a product of a frivolous craze. Or maybe they just like idealising a TV show aimed at an audience they stopped being 5/10+ years ago, because it matches the maturity level of those who find it fun to play stupid and ignorant to seek attention/avoid growing up. But it's probably just because I find it all a bit f*cking stupid.
