The mistake is not to divorce, the mistake is to marry someone who doesn't accept what you like. That's true. Been in that relationship and it can tear you apart from everything you love, btw Aussiethunder was only messing about with my Message.. Was a tad high, nothing to take seriously. But I do believe she may impact the way you enjoy the game, though she could make it alot more enjoyable. I hope shes that type of partner that'll be able to do that with. If you have been in an arguement and you instantly go on GTA, she probably will divorce you, lol. Take her out more, treat her well. I don't really think women enjoy GTA much, way to violent. Even when she asks what I'm doing and I say 'Playing IV' there is a silence. Cold silence. I imagine her standing there with anger and then I feel guilt. I want her to appreciate that gta is what I enjoy playing and it's better for me to chill out and play when I'm bored instead of going out and drinking at the pub or something like that would really annoy her. Like its either gta or looking at half naked bar chicks at the pub. I know that gta v is going to be amazing and I want to enjoy it fully, without feeling guilty because of my wife's view of it being a murder and robbing game. She is going to let me play it and I want to get her into it too and play it with me but she's already not keen knowing that there's 'gang stuff' again. I have tried telling her it's not like all gang stuff like SA. I just want her to enjoy it too so I don't feel so damn guilty all the time. What can I do, apart from divorce? You're not sniffing cocaine of a stripper's tits, or drinking copious amounts of booze at a local whore-pub, you're not running around in cheap motels with barely-legal girls behind her back and you're just trying to get some enjoyment out of this life in a way that makes you happy. If you ARE doing that other stuff it won't matter anyway... Women are funny creatures. You have to give her a certain amount of what she wants too - your time and attention and of course probably The D. If she's going out "with friends" and bringing back all kinds of drama after you say you're playing video games - she's not the kind of person you need man. An ex of mine was like that. I'd do something innocent - and she'd ditch to the bar till 3AM and not answer her cell phone. What a whore. Anyway, tell her about why you like it: "The graphics amaze me." "I really relax and enjoy it - it's something that lets me avoid the feeling of responsibiltiy for a little while." Be light hearted about explaining it to her. If she doesn't like it - chances you're avoiding something of her needs - unless she just wants a freakin' puppydog to follow her around 24/7 and then it's up to you what to do... My (now) fiance is really great with and GTA, she understands that I don't need to head out to the bar for hours at a time, or bring home strays (women) that she finds out about later. I do my thing innocently and imho, constructively. She lets me have time to do that. I have to "work" twice as hard though because she needs her needs met as well. Help, companionship, financial support, emotional support etc. If she's great to you except for with GTA aka you can touch her anytime you want, you have fun together, she doesn't make you jealous at every turn, she's working with you for long term goals, helping with bills etc. then chances are you are not meeting her needs in some way. Ask her about what she wants from you so that you can play GTA when you want Watching TV for a woman is a hobby. Grey's Anatomy! get into her stuff too man. Some of it isn't that bad. But women have these things they don't see as hobbies: TV / Soap Operas, recipes and cooking, planning, Crafts, working out etc. What they don't understand is that gaming for men IS a hobby. It's not avoiding life - it's enjoying life. Problem is that if she doesn't care about you enough, she'll never realize that. If she's the "snooty, preppy, fashionable, hot, beach type" girl she probably won't get it. Gamers need "down to earth girls whether she's hot or not." You could do what I do when she's getting needy, especially after I work my but off to support her, I usually head to the next room and shout (in a funny way): SHUDDUP.... Bitch! lol True story. Show her you can just drive and listen to music. Shoot darts or go bowling. Show her you can take heli tours around the city. Show her there is more to it than what she thinks. My girlfriend isn't a gamer but I got her into gta. She just drives around and listens to music and does activities. Whenever she commits a crime (on accident) she just pulls over and gives her self up :-) trust me if you show her the many other sides to gta then she'll try to give it a chance and then maybe she'll give the story a chance.
