T.P.E
PLEASE RELEASE SOME MORE INFO ROCKSTAR!! THESE THREADS MAKE GTAFORUMS FECKIN ANNOYING Really why so serious?? Its a long wait and we are all bored , so bored we resort to lazing around in here instead of playing video games like we usually would be doing (due to the fact that since we boarded the hype train to L.S no other games really cut it , unless GTA related RDR, SA, etc and most have rinsed these proper) So yeah whilst we like the serious debate threads about the game some of us enjoy these little fun threads (even if op was serious he still asking for jokes from the get go ) and use them to pass the time whilst we all wait for that golden golden fruit! The same golden fruit, which is the one thing we all have in commen but not the only thing so yeah some things on here you wont agree or like but hey... dont be such a douche

AuSsIeThUnDeR36
Yes I am married and I am 36. You could of guessed that by the 36 at the end of my sig but anyway I have shown my wife all the screenshots we went through them all I couldn't believe she had a good look. She liked the aerial views from helis and planes she said it looks nice. Wasn't too keen on the one with Franklin and minigun because it looks hell violent but I explained its a big map to explore. I'm getting the CE so I will involve her by unboxing it together. I bet she trys to steal and claim my zip bag for herself. If that makes her happy then fine. I will try and get her to watch the first ten minutes of gameplay and hand her the controls to have a go. Judging by her reaction to the views from the air, I will get a plane and when there's flying I will let her control the plane so she has to control the plane and then she will have fun exploring. Noticed a few comments here about character customising she would be into that because she liked making her own golfer in TW using the game face option. Hey there's golf in gta v isn't there. That could be an angle for me there. I think she will enjoy that because she likes golf games. She just doesn't like all the shooting and gang banger aspects. ACR
Seriously now dude, what i don't understand is why you give soo much flying f*ck what you wife think about a video game you are playing in your spare time, like it's main factor which will influence your divorce or separation or something. ninjapixy
No one's mentioned Yoga! There's so much exploration an sky diving to do who needs violence! you should get the Andromeda fill it full of cars and then dump them out at high altitude, that's my plan. or challenge each other to fly dangerously, like really slow and low or close to buildings or tree's. also doesn't expect world changing from your wife, she doesn't expect you to like wearing makeup just so she can wear it. AuSsIeThUnDeR36
I'm at work and just sent a txt to my wife saying I am excited and can't wait to unbox it with you. This was the reply - 'That's great honey, that's exciting for you. Is there a concilation prize in it for me?' This is what I'm dealing with here. I have to get her something to 'make up' for it. jamieleng
I'm at work and just sent a txt to my wife saying I am excited and can't wait to unbox it with you. Doesn't sound like you were talking about gaming there. Oh, I just saw this beauty of a line "She is going to let me play it and I want to get her into it too and play it with me". What do you mean "she is going to let me play it"? She's supposed to be your equal, not your bloody keeper. Macabro
Don't give her the D until she gives in Divorce isn't an option for me that's not how it's gonna end up this time around. I've already been there and it's not a nice experience. This is my 2nd marriage and my wife and I have already promised each other there will be no divorce happening. I just want her to be able to sit down with me and see that its going to be fun to play. I said I wanted her to sit and just enjoy the first 5 minutes at least and she's like ' no no you play it, I put up with it' and I'm like 'damn it' I don't think he's talking about divorce. blowtorchrepair
OP, my wife didn't care for any games until I bought a projector... She would laugh at me while I would play Halo 3 on the old 35-inch Sony Trinitron, but a few months later she beat Halo 3 herself on Legendary, and it was all b/c of the giant HD screen. Then IV came out and she was almost as mesmerized with the game as was I, so we eventually bought another xbox so we could play together online (and i'd let her play on the big screen). Wife's should appreciate the "gaming is good clean fun that keeps me at home and not out running the roads buzzed or worse" angle, but not all do. The question is, does your wife just not like GTA or does she simply not like anything that holds your attention so well other than herself? LotusRIP
Sounds like my situation but with TV shows like South Park, Mr Bean and The Brady Bunch. Just never allowed to watch those shows anymore without her getting agitated and leaving the room. Luckily, my wife prefers to watch me play GTA and sometimes she plays online IV too. Not sure if it works in your situation, but for me, the less I talk about it the more shes interested. If I make a big deal about it and ASK her to play, it won't happen. But if I quietly play while she sits there watching... Just don't say much... Soon enough she's telling me what I should or shouldn't have done and how much I suck at the game... And next minute she takes over and she's playing it herself! Which I love.

BenOfficial
My GF of 10yrs hates not only GTA but video games in general. I used to let her strong feeling get to me a little but at this point I realize there are things I don't like and things she doesn't like and that's just life. She gives me a hard time when I discuss games and I give her a hard time when she wants to play the "what she just bought and guess how much it was game." I don't feel guilty anymore I just try to make sure I spend some time w her too and let her know if I'm about to get into a marathon gaming session like what will happen when V comes out. Stop being so afraid of your woman. Who controls your balls anyway? Edited June 25, 2013 by beneficial
antisatan7
You need to just straight up tell your wife that you want her to be involved in things with you. That that's the kinda woman you want. Of course not every man wants a friend in their woman but some do including dudes like you and me. Cause straight up what's going to happen is you are going to get to the midnight release and see a girl wearing a GTAV shirt standing in line and she is going to be single. Next thing you know you find out you both have the same interests in common and she is going to offer coming over to your house to play all night and you will be like naw I got a wife. She will then proceed to say with a cute smile add me online. And that is exactly how sh*t starts in a relationship. When sh*t does start you definitely don't want your wife saying if only you would have explained to me your true feeling to begin with I would have found interest in the game, I had no clue blah blah blah. So seriously after hitting her from every angle as before mentioned just tell her straight up that she needs to have a good reason as to why she won't sit down with her man and play a masterpiece of art. Damn it's not like you are asking her to gut a cow. What is her true problem with the violence anyway? Is it against a religion or perhaps just in her heart she feels like she is doing something bad? Does she eat hamburgers or any kind of meat? If so, show her videos of how they kill cows for beef. Get down to the bottom of this sh*t. I'm serious man, that girl with the GTAV shirt on at the release is going to be waiting for you. Get down to the bottom of this sh*t, or let it go and be miserable the rest of your life. I'm not saying be unreasonable. You do for her, she should do for you, or at least really try for you. Plain and simple.
DetectDefective
I sincerely can't tell if you're trolling or not here. Might as well go with the possibility of this being real, since regular egg on the face is better than rotten egg on the face. You are trying to shove the game down her throat, and you're reacting poorly to her responses from it, which are honestly well-deserved. She doesn't give two damns about V, and you expect her to be excited about a game coming out of a box? You're kidding yourself here. She doesn't like GTA. That's fine, there's all colors of the rainbow. If she's seriously guilt-tripping you over it, she needs some new priorities and you need thicker skin about it. Oh, and if your choices of fixing your boredom are "play GTA" or "stare at half-naked chicks at the pub", by the sounds of it, maybe a divorce really isn't all that bad for either of you. antisatan7
Poblems of XXI century -,- If woman doesn't like GTA, deal with it. Some women like, some don't. It's tougher than that. For all we know this dude has been busting his ass for his girl. Perhaps trying to do what she does even though he didn't like it. So does a dude just walk around trying to understand what his woman wants while she just doesn't care and looks down on a dude? Naw, it can't just be let go in that case. It's a question of respect from a woman for her man, but it's only right when a man has respected a woman. You give respect and try, so she should give respect and try. Damn I mean marriages can't be cliche. They can't always be falling apart and everyone goes their separate ways or even stays "together" in the same house but never see each other. A man and woman need to come together and talk about life and what bothers them and overcome fears and loves together. This spawned another thought: Okay you texted your wife and told her you are excited to get the game and do this with her. She goes on to say that it's only exciting for you. What the hell? I wonder how many women are out there right now who would love for their man to say hey play a game with me because I want to include you into something I'm doing and I'm excited to have you here with me? Damn and then to look down on you while you play the game. Geez man, what does a man have to do? This is an ongoing problem in society right now. I've got a video from a woman. This may help check out her other sh*t though cause there might be a better one suiting you I kinda just picked the last one I seen.
MrSpooge
Ok, listen.. seriously f*cking listen. Everything you've read above and before it.. IGNORE IT! You don't want her interested in it, do you know why? SHE'LL RUIN IT! IT'll RUIN YOUR MARRIAGE! You've got to decide here and now, is it going to be GTA.. Or your Wife? Ok that's going over the line you can have both but seriously, why? Why... Sure shes your best friend, life partner but you and GTA? That is for you, you only.. and your homies.. You being a husband we'll call those Homies Friends. Now tell your wife while you are actually playing V to I don't know.. Suck your dick while your first put in the disk, after its loaded and you've loaded her mouth... Ok, I am taking this to far.. I know, but seriously.. Your wife and GTA. Now that is too far. I don't care about her details or who she is or if you both play World of Warcraft Together. Don't, do not.. She'll ask too many questions, whos this guy.. Why'd you still that persons car! She'll literally make you feel guilt for running over people and stealing peoples cars! DO YOU WANT THAT ON YOUR CONSCIENCE? No, as you see... My answer is far, the most valid one. Therefor, enjoy.. If you are currently 36, then you had to be 35 when you created your user name. Well obviously his just living in a fantasy world, see.. In his world his still 36 when his Marriage was going amazing.. "In that reality also GTA V was still coming to be released later this year" He had a house, kids.. a family, luxury sports car.. He even had his own fully grown weed farm, he was rich, handsome.. But now, his 55. His divorced, and recently was released some Prison for being a Major Drug Dealer. Real Name, Larry Mcfloyd. Now his wife, kids and everyone he knew does no longer have any connection to him, he is but a former man of himself who use to own a Pot Farm. So, with this come coming to surface. I'm sorry, but your Blow Up Play Doll will not be able to play V. Though, if you have any money.. Which in your current, circumstance I would think not.. You maybe able to pay a hooker by the hour to play it with you, though my best advice would to use that hour for her to play with you instead of V. Now, I'll put down the bong as I see my imagination is now running at a all time high and I need a shower.
Fraizer
Honestly, this sh*t has happened to me before, and I felt that same kind of guilt when my wife was asking me what I was doing while I was playing Red Dead. This happened a few years back. She would ask what I was doing, I would say "Playing Read Dead Redemption." She would either say "oh ok" with a sarcastic tone or not say anything at all. I got really tired of that, cause she would pout and give me the cold shoulder the rest of the day when I would try and talk her. Finally I came right out and ask her, "what is the problem with me playing games?" and she said that she just didn't understand why I like them so much... "ok..." i said, "Its just what I like doing. I like playing games" and There was a silence... I could tell she was looking for something to say to discredit reasons for playing games cause she had an angry look on her face. So I started again, "The reason I like playing games is the same reason that you are always on facebook, or why you watch TV, or watching a Movie. You enjoy doing those things and I enjoy gaming." She insisted it was not the same thing cause it was more than one thing that she was doing, but it was a very stubborn mind I was dealing with. For a few nights after that when we went to bed, when I made the suggestive nudge, all I could do was picture Gandalf slamming his staff to ground and screaming "thou shall not pass!" It got severely ridiculous, so I started doing the same thing thing to her when she was watching her TV shows or was doing something on Facebook. I would ask what she was doing and then say "I dont understand why you like doing that so much!" After a couple of days of that, she finally yelled out, "I just like doing it!" and I said "Exactly! Thats why I like to play my games!" She finally stopped giving me the cold shoulder and sarcastic tones about games after she understood that. Maybe you could ask her why she does the things that she does in her spare time, and use that as an example to show why you like doing the things that you do with your spare time. Diesleman
Dude seriously, as a fellow Australian I'm concerned here that your giving us a reputation as ass kissing pussies. Tell her you don't care what she thinks of you playing games, and if its a big problem tell her to get f*cked, plain and simple. At the end of the day if you're going to be in that type of relationship then you should both know and respect each others ways of life. How is it going to last if she can't deal with you playing video games? I can't imagine allowing a woman to make me feel guilty about enjoying a game. Get a hold of yourself mate I don't mean to sound like a dick but its about respect.
