How much do you think it will be scaled?

Okay, so I was looking thru topics and saw this old image below from very first trailer.

 

 

Of course, guys you all know that in the top right corner you can spot this KLAX Tower, which is located in west of Los Angeles.

And I thought to myself ~"How scaled Los Angeles version of GTA V will be". It's really interesting question.

So I went to Google maps, found locations and measured the distance from both locations, because while were looking into picture of trailer shot and seeing KLAX Tower far away, it seems around 2-3 miles away from the eye.

 

My results after using a bit of my paint skills were actually really close to those 2-3 miles. It is 4.85 mile away from Venice Beach Mart till the tower of KLAX, Los Angeles airport.

 

Of course many there seems to be missing many buildings and or they actual size are lowered. Which should mean, that

 

 

these part of game locations and real life locations are around 1:2 distance of real city size. Do you think full Los Angeles recreated on it's 234square miles, if game scale is 1:2 of original scale? Original Los Angeles area size is - 468square miles.

 

 

So - 234 square miles? That would be awesome size and even without it's own rural areas. I would be more than happy with city on it's own!

P.S. Of course it's able to measure game city size from other pictures too.

 

And yes, I have rechecked locations on google to make sure it's right one.
