I wouldnt really mind if they didnt do a SINGLE PLAYER zombie DLC... if they did one, i would prefer for them to focus on a good free roam zombie multiplayer mode where you can meet other survivors, get food, etc...

Tell me one zombie game which has core elements almost similiar to GTA. Not saying I want zombies, but that "Go play game XY if you want Zombies" argument is hella stupid.

If GTA will be anything like RDR the countryside is mostly going to be dead. Don't kid yourself and say zombies are all over the place. I walked through the countryside and maybe found 5 zombies the most. From McFarlane's Ranch to Armadillo. How boring is that. So you want a DLC that takes away more than 50% of the things we can do. They probably take away subs and planes for what? Just for zombies? We can just have the cheat in which everyone attacks you. It's the same concept.

Never said I want Zombies all over the place or.did I? Nope. I played RDR UN for some time and I.actually did come across many groups of zombies, but that doesn't matter here.

 

Thing about this is also the apocalyptic setting with burning buildings, etc, you get the idea. Not playing just because there are tons of brainless AI.

Dead Rising 3 is set in LA. You can drive cars, shoot guns, and fight zombies. In an LA setting.

I think it would be better (and probably more convincing) if there was some synthetic drug flooding the streets of LS (perhaps supplied from a local cartel) that causes its users to exhibit cannibalistic behaviour. They would be much harder to take down than regular peds and display symptons such as bloodshot eyes and frantic maneurisms like walking around twitching or whatever.

 

Perhaps a riot in LS could be used as a back drop. I just think the idea of zombies is out of place in a GTA game, but something like this wouldn't be far fetched. It would be fresher than trying to fight undead. They would be real people and probably make things more tense like the infected in The Last Of Us.

I could see this working. To be honest I dont really mind if they are Z's or just peeps mashed out thier minds on some crazy ass meth (practically raging zombies lol)

It was really like someone said earlier , I just want a post apocalyptic setting for Los Santos, like "I Am Legend" style , and yeah if we swapped the Z's for crazied junkies that could really work!!

Maybe even some Zombie haters would jump on board and play whilst telling themselves "its ok, really, its not Zombies , its Junkies so Im still cool"

I also agree that a Zombie survival mode would be much better online as a co-op/pvp style game. Different gangs still go against each other, they could become allies too all whilst the infect/Zombies are roaming around the place. Cars + fuel (if included) would be few and far between, so would guns and ammo, food + water could be included too. Maybe there is a cure. As there are hardly any vehicles maybe we find different parts to vehicles and have to 'make them' - the mechanic skill springs to mind. We could make our own weapons too. There is soo much scope.

Another good feature (imo, and they could do this for the main game too) is to have it so the bridges, train and automobile, could be blocked off and not accessible sometimes at all, or maybe just vehicles can't gain access. It would mean different routes would be needed.

Zombies might be unoriginal, but the thought of speeding down the highway in a big truck as Trevor mowing down zombies while listening to metal/rock on the radio before crashing and having to suddenly fight for my life against the oncoming hordes makes me moist. And then Trevor activates his rage mode in a desperate last stand, bashing undead skulls with his bare hands and flipping them off before being overrun.

I said this once and will say it again. Zombie cheat. Turns the whole game into zombie apocalipse. So it`s still there if you want it and is not a forced thing. Some want zombies in GTA 5, some don`t. Give this option to those who want and those who don`t won`t use the cheat. Simple as that.

 

EDIT: Also if we talk about zombies, my 2nd most wanted game of the year is DayZ Standalone Imagin GTA + DayZ. That would be epic

The thing is, Gta has so much stuff in this game that zombies would be amazing. Such as:

. Vehicles ranging from exotic cars, busses, suv's, planes, bikes, motorcycles, i think atvs, helicopters, and much more.

. Wide range of weapons from pistols, shotguns, explosives, fire, mini guns, and even more.

. Also the environment!! Players could survive in places such as the city, the beach, mountains, wilderness, prisons, bases, airstrips.

The idea is that gta with zombies seems interesting if they do it right. Have limited ammo, mass destruction towards the environment, and chaos.

 

The idea to it working is establishing the game as a survival game with zombies. Not a game that focuses solely on just killing zombies as that would easily get boring!

the ONLY way i'd want zombies if they made it like STATE OF DECAY(check it out zombie game with originality on xbla) which basically adds tons of things to it not just killing. you can make a shelter anywhere, get survivors, get supplies(which are needed), water, vehicles, etc.

Infected are still zombies. There's different kinds of zombies. They don't have to be dead. The ones in 28 Days Later and the Left For Dead series are infected and still alive.

You keep making it out like the pro-zombie people mean zombies as dead people come back to life. We don't mean it like that. Your example of the drugs, is a great one. Those guys would be zombies, because they are. They're just not...Zombies (The kind that everyone thinks of, as in undead). I think I speak for the majority of pro-zombie when I say we don't care how zombies become zombies, that there are just zombies.
