"Google Earth Map" feature

So, was playing Midnight Club and using the map instantly reminded me of what we have been told to expect for GTAV.

I personally think this is what we can expect, see the zooming out fully and then the zoom straight into the character from the map like how we have been told by the news outlets.

This video is slightly better:

There might be a better video for this, if so someone post it and ill update OP.

So, anyone think it will be similar? smile.gif

Yeah I've thought the same and think it'll be pretty similar to this, yes. smile.gif

This and the satellite view is completely 90° from the ground. I think it will be smoother than 90°, so we have a wider angle. But beside of that I guess it will look the same way like MCLA does.

Look at the corkboard, Eye Finder with a top down city view, maybe a Google Earth parody?

Off topic: I have never even seen Midnight club la before, i played the first one and thought it sucked (compared to NfsU2) so have never paid attention to them.... I never knew how "gta" MC looks! How old is this MC:LA? It looks pretty good, I'm now hyped got V a bit more lol!

You missed out buddy. The two first Midnight Clubs weren't that great compared to the NFS-series, but MC:3 won in the end. The amount customization and cars in MC:3 beat NFS:U2 by along shot.

It's a shame they won't be making anymore Midnight Club games. Need for Speed really sucks these days.

i wonder if the game continues while in the 'google earth view' or will it pause the game while you choose where to go

It was released 6 months after GTA IV in October 2008

Then MC:LA Complete Edition was released a year later in October 2009 which also included:

- Map Expansion of South Central (adding 33% more on top of the original map)

- Vehicle Pack #1 & #2

- Police Car Pack

- Premium Upgrade Pack

It's a good game in my opinion; definitely worth picking up the Complete Edition if you have a console.

I've played both platforms and prefer the 360 version but there's no game-breaking differences between the two. (Simply graphics)

It looks a lot like GTA 1, I think it would be an awesome nod to the past if they made it look somewhat like that.

What I'm a bit worried about is that the charachter switching can take up to 10-15 seconds iirc from some previews.

Didn't CVG told us something about the 'Google Earth Zoom feature' in one of their GTA V o'clock episodes?

I don't know what episode it is, but they said that the zooming was not smooth but in different steps.

Like ''BAM" (zooming out).... "BAM" (zooming out).. "Bam" (zooming out). And than you have an overview of a piece of the map.

Zooming in works the exact same way. With each ''BAM'', the maps zooms in/out a bit.

Good one. I've heard that too!

Really looking forward to it

it would be nice if we could add push-pin-like markers to the map if we find something cool that isn't illustrated or marked on the map.

Like a bookmark? Saints Row 3 allowed you to do this and it was a very handy feature. Would love this in all honesty!

I am a fan of Driver's switching system Fast Forward to 7:30

If the switching is anything like that, it will be stellar. It will be anyway. But I'll take that video as an indication.

I don't think there's anything to worry about... They said it would only take that long if the characters are far away, plus you'll have a pretty sweet view (while you wait for the game to load).
