It doesn't work like that, you always have to change discs, you can't install and play with one disc

Oh really?

 

Look at Halo 4. 1 install disc and you only ever had to use the other one to play everything. No swapping required.

 

Same could be done for GTA V.

I just think it will have 3 discs. 1 for the actual game. And 2 install discs for online and something else I think..

agree with you hitman, it's a open world game and r* said that there is not loading between differents arenas, so i cant see how to work with that way that you said, actually l.a noire and bf3 are not open world so they are a lil bit different

Yeah it might even be just 2 discs or just 1 disc. People where saying that san andreas was too big to be 1 disc for ps2 but it turned out to be just 3 gigs

Im pretty sure its only xbox exclusives that are allowed a forced install not third partys.

 

I dont care how many discs, wateva it takes.

 

I mean Rockstar not gonna kill the game with a disc swap even if it were for multiplayer I mean so what?? I press down on the dpad, If thats correct, and I get a message saying insert disc 2? Am I gonna be like

"WoooooAAAAHHHH!!! F*** YOU ROckSTAR YOU JUST COMPLETELY RUINED MY GTA EXPERIENCE COS I GOTTA GET OFF MY FAT ASS AND CHANGE THE DISC SO ITS GONNA TAKE ME AN EXTRA WAT 7 SECS TO GET INTO MULTYIPLAYER!!! AND YOU SAID IT WOULD BE INSTANT!!! THAT DOES IT I HAD IT WITH THIS SH***Y GAME ITS GOING BACK TO TRADE IN FOR SAINTS ROW 4 COS THATS ONLY 1 DISC!!"

No Im not, I will just get up put in disc 2 and sit back down again and play. ( probabaly curse microsoft a little for not giving my 360s a blu ray but thats about it )

L.a noire is open world, battlefield isn't.

Halo is a first party game though

Microsoft kisses R*'s ass all the time so I'm sure a few arrangements could be made to give gta v 1st party status

what like no ps3 release?? isnt that the only way you can gain 1st party status? like gotta be exclusive? maybe im wrong, i hope so cos i would rather install and not swap any day

I'm a 360 owner. I want 1 disc but the 360 will probably come on 2, no probs tho, probably 1 disc to install and the other disc will have a permanent home in the disc tray.

3 discs for my ps3

1 Disc for PS3, 2 for 360, one for Multiplayer and one for Singleplayer.

I play on the PS3, but I would have no problem switching discs, its really not a big deal. If you are too lazy to get up and walk 10 feet to swap a disc thats just sad.

I'd hate to play GTA on multiple discs.

 

On topic, this a silly thread though. Of course nearly everyone wants GTA V on one disc. The question here is will many have the choice of deciding whether they do or don't ? That needs to be answered.

I had though about this, but not everyone has an internet connection to download sadly enough. Also can you imagine the server overload when everyone get their copy of the 17th and tries to download all at once? Just look what happened to the newest sim game upon release, there were so many downloads it lagged their servers terribly, now imagine that on the scale of GTA players

This is a pointless poll. Obviously everyone would prefer it to be one disc on 360 but that's probably impossible. If the poll had been, how many discs do I think it'll be? 3 (2 for single player & 1 for multiplayer) but you will only have to change discs once to complete the single player storyline (like MP3). Obviously, replaying missions that are on the other disc, will require you to switch.
