The Armageddon(Temp)
Outside a room(having 3 bulbs) there are three light switches. Each switch is connected to a light bulb inside the room.(ONLY ONE).Each of the three switches can be either 'ON' or 'OFF'. You are allowed to set each switch the way you want it and then enter the room(NOTE: you can enter the room only once) Your task is to then determine which switch controls the bulb ?? . . Think and answer. Then tally your answer with the solution. ================================================== Solution : 1)Turn the first switch ON for some time. Then switch it off. 2)Then turn the second switch ON and enter the room. 3)The bulb which is ON is obviously connected to the SECOND switch. 4)Touch the other two bulbs. Whichever bulb is warm, that would be the bulb for the FIRST switch. 5)The other bulb is for the THIRD switch. =================================================== Find the Odd man Out : Also state the reason. Shmoopy
Here is how i solved it : 2:12 A ( 2:00 ) 2:2 D ( 2:10 ) 9:4 B ( 9:20 ) 10:8 C ( 9:35 ) So as you can see , C should be 9:30 and not 9:35 Is it correct ?

The Armageddon(Temp)
Yeah, actually my reason was quite simple: In C , the 'VII' is replaced by 'VIII'.. But Fable's reason also implies the same . He just said it in another way. Btw correct, both of you. Nice Work. ================================================== I have another one : A man got killed in his office. The suspects are : Edison , Jason , Maxis , Jenny , Sofia , Patrick. A calendar found near the man has blood, written : 6 , 4 , 9 , 10 , 11 Who is the killer ? Also state the reason. ================================================== Edited June 26, 2013 by The Armageddon

Why do you quote my answer in that case? Just wait for a correct answer and then ask for the reason.

Frenzzy
I think this topic is cool (I mean hot), but a bit messed up. @OP: Why don't you create a scoring system and ask one question at a time? This way, it would be a bit organised and would attract a lot more members.

This way, it would be a bit organised and would attract a lot more members. It is not that I dont want the scoring system. But I want a decent amount of members to be active here. There is no point in having a scoring system just for 3-4 members, right? ask one question at a time Sorry, I didnt get you. But I think thats what I am doing right now.(If I am not getting you wrong). Care to elaborate ? Or else, you could just send me a PM and tell what you actually want to convey. Shoumaker
A man got killed in his office. The suspects are : Edison , Jason , Maxis , Jenny , Sofia , Patrick. A calendar found near the man has blood, written : 6 , 4 , 9 , 10 , 11 Who is the killer ? Also state the reason. I remember one of my friends asked me this before and I got it right. It's Janna Remember that: June is represented by the 6 as it is the 6th month of the year. April is represented by the 4 as it is the 4th month of the year. September is represented by the 9 as it is the 9th month of the year. October is represented by the 10 as it is the 10th month of the year. November is represented by the 11 as it is the 11th month of the year. The sum of these numbers are: 6+4+9+10+11 = 40 Now: Lets represent A as 1, B as 2, C as 3, D as 4, E as 5 and so on... And let's look at their names and correspond these letters with the numbers with the suspect names. So.. For Edison it would be 5+4+9+19+15+14= 66. For Maxis is would be 13+1+24+9+19=56 For Jason it would be 10+1+19+15+14= 59 And for Janna it would be 10+1+14+14+1= 40 So Janna is your answer. A very nice try, though. Maybe the riddle you heard had Janna, instead of Jenny. Three men went into the water but only one got his hair wet, how? They went by boat, I guess ? And one of them wet his hair. Just a guess.
