MrP4nc4ke
Watching the morning news it suddenly hit me that it would be nice to have forecasts for the in-game weather in GTA V. Like in real life, you could access them from your phone or radio/television. I think that this might actually add something to the game and not just be a random detail. For example: You see that there's a storm coming up, and you decide to go boating to feel the waves growing bigger and bigger. Or maybe, if the weather actually has an effect on the environment / pedestrian density / police detection range, it would be cool to plan your heist to the weather of your liking. Any other ideas how weather forecasts might be fun / useful? Or is this not such a great idea after all?
Sept17th2013
I could definitely see Michael taking it into consideration, as he's a heist expert and knows all variables.
richard1997jones
Yes that would be great.
Travís.
Weather forecasts could change the way the games played, I love the idea!
AuSsIeThUnDeR36
The weather makes all the difference like in IV i noticed if it was raining hard, the peds would run for cover and there would be a few here and there with umbrellas. If you were in a car chase you would have to watch the slide action more. I like to do missions when it's sunny so yeah planning heists taking in a radio broadcast of the weather would be great
gta5freemode4eva
If rain equals sloppy sand, slippy mud/tarmac (all variations) etc etc this would be fantastic. Suddenly the route you were going to take might not be such a quick drive after all. If foggy weather meant you couldn't see your target maybe you'd have to change location or choose a scoped weapon etc. If lightning caused blackouts then flashlights would be a good idea or night-vision. Good call OP, would really add to the game Fire could block off your route (on foot), helicopter pick-up maybe? or dive off a cliff into the sea! DAWeeE1
Weather forecasts could change the way the games played, I love the idea! I know, right? The weather in GTA has quite an impact on how your vision and driving ability is. Too bad though that many missions in at least GTA IV seems to revert the weather to the standard sunshine. I like a little randomness.
MARKUS.
Great idea OP, I loved it on Test Drive unlimited 2, it would be so cool!. That MUST be in the game!

Agreed. Whether or not forecasts are in the game, I hope they at least keep the weather random at all times. Understandably this can create some comic moments with outdoor cut scenes (characters not reacting to a thunderstorm for example), but I think I'd still prefer it that way. Algonquin Assassin
I've always wondered if weather could be used to our advantage. If storms for example generate lightning strikes that cause blackouts I'd try to conduct a heist during a storm as it could halt police response or some other means in a power blackout. Of course the probability probably wouldn't be very high unless it was scripted, but I'd rather it be dynamic.
