But I guess you couldn't deliberately run them down with a truck. i wanna say animal Abuse is a BIG + I think the media and stuff is done used to the strippers and half nude people and shooting people and drugs etc big list lol. Matt06 Posted June 24, 2013 Share Posted June 24, 2013 The explicit (and righteously realistic) detail of the drug dealing in Chinatown Wars caused a stir, which I got a laugh out of since they put that nice feature in a NINTENDO DS game and Nintendo is mostly child/family friendly with their content. I'd like to have this in V. Not to mention all the cursing the characters did. This must have went over nice with parents after they caught wind of it, not knowing they bought their kids such a crazy game. It's hard to say what features and content as far as actual gameplay goes will provide the controversy, but the previews we have so far certainly contain much violently and sexually explicit content and context. Thing is it was acceptable and needed during the time the game was set in so the media didn't bat a eyelid. Been as GTA is set in the modern world I can see some media getting hot and bothered about it. I'm against animal abuse myself but that doesn't mean I'm against hunting and killing animals for food/survival there is a difference. Besides it's a video game so who cares? Its like they really don't have anything better to do than protest any little insignificant thing relating to animals.\ And even if fully nude strippers were in, there's nothing "wrong" about it because its a 18+ game anyway. Perhaps dogpiles on certain specific features, but I expect generalized negativity regardless. God help us if there's a major national "incident" of some kind near the release date. I like realism and the really it gets the more I like it. Until gta make a game as good as it gets I'll always have something they could improve on. I dont remember seeing a big news story about GTA IV controversy. Give me a break. If it was something like a dog being shot for real in a movie, that's something to be concerned about but we are talking about a game here.
