But besides that i know Franklin is trying to leave the gang life but he should still be able to have serious turf wars and gang conflicts just due to the fact that is where his house is. Unless he gets some money and tries to move to Rockford Hills with Micheal in which a young black ex gangbanger and felon wouldn`t fit in. Franklin could attack Ballas and Vagos hideouts, and Trevor could attack Lost MC (and possibly other hostile gangs, if there are) hideouts. There, they could steal drug stashes, weapons, vehicles, things like that. If R* wants to make it a bit like SA/VCS, then maybe you would conquer that hideout and the territory near it, and there would be a chance it is attacked back (but a much smaller chance than in SA/VCS, so it's not boring. You'd just be f*cking around in the desert in Las Venturas, and then all of a sudden, your territory in Ganton was under attack. Then again, spawning a hydra made it a bit easier to get there. You are remembering it wrong. Your turf can only be attacked when you are in Los Santos. I'm guessing you remember it wrong. You can be away from Los Santos and it can be under attack. Gangs that are in war and shooting at each other and maybe so random gang wars or something would be nice enough, especially if they are some random events happening around gang areas in Los Santos, and if you aren't there, then there will be a headline or sometihing on the news sites on the internet. I did like the gang wars feature in San Andreas, and although it was far from perfect, I still thought it was good fun. However, I do agree with you on the rest of what you stated. This time in GTA V, I would much rather see random shootouts and gunfights in the streets between various rival gangs at war with each other, not instigated by the player. That way you could have the choice to join in the action or just ignore it. I would prefer to see something similar to TBOGT's Drug Wars, where you could recruit some gang members to assist you and go along on side missions to rob a rival gang's drug and money stash, hijack a rival gang's drug deal or fight a rival gang over street corner for the right to sell drugs there. The gang territories in SA made sense for its time period, but I hated how you had to take over a certain % to advance the story. Not to mention they were repetitive and tedious as sh*t. If you have the police on you and drive through Ballas territory then the Ballas won't know what to do and attack the police, making it easier for you to get away. They said that while explaining how Ballas hate the cops and will attack them on sight, leaving it to the player to use that to his advantage if he want's to. That's got NOTHING to do with owning turfs. OT: No, Franklin is not a gangbanger like CJ and I personally wouldn't like it as it was nothing but tedious work to complete some statistics while doing the same thing over, and over, and over, and over....... again. You should be able to spend money to pay for better gang members to hang out in the areal so you don't have to worry about losing the turf while you're over the other side of the map. You could have the option to bring along the whole 3 man army. When the Ballas are least expecting it, BOOM here comes Trevor with a hydra! And then Michael snipes from up above. It could be fun. In GTA SA it was a nice change as we hadnt seen anything like that in previous GTA's but i always felt myself spending more time in San Fiero and Las Venturas so that my turf wouldnt get attacked. Then it felt like id be in Los Santos for about 30 seconds before one of my turfs was being attacked. So that was a little annoying especially when you just wanted to mess around the city and then you have to stop what youre doing to defend turf. OT: id love it back but improved, in real life when you go take some turf. they aint no 3 waves that start with bats then finish on 10 guys with aks. unrealistic. This seems a lot more open with only Franklin the real gang type (Trevor just has a motorcycle club issue ) It depends how it's integrated, Turf being attacked every 5 minutes would just get annoying.
