Blitz Play Dialogue

I stopped reading after the first couple lines. Hopefully this isnt real

Unfortunately, its real. What you read, is what they wrote down from the dialogue in the demo.

Michael: "Yeah, after the hit we blast open the doors we grab up all the cash bonds, whatever it is I take it.

Franklin: "That's a lot to hope for homes..."

Trevor: " As long as I'm not on the ground when the sh*t goes down ok."

Michael: "When the sh*t goes down we'll handle it. You stay up here on your post eyes peeled ok, we'll take the risk. Sound cool?"

Franklin: "sh*t.., you're the professional dog."

 

My God, I really hope this isn't the actual dialogue. I don't think any actor could make these cringe-inducing lines sound good.

The grammar in this is atrocious, which probably explains why it doesn't sound legit. I went through and fixed it up to make sense, but It most likely won't be exactly what's said in-game as I'm just inferring on sentence structure and tone.

 

Here it is:

 

Franklin: "Hey what's crackin? Where's he at?"

Michael: "Right there."

Franklin: "So we really going to do this sh*t? Are we going to risk our lives to rob some motherf*cking government killers again?"

Michael: "Yep." *turns to face Trevor* "Hey!"

Trevor: "Hey, what's up?"

Michael: "Listen up, here's the plan. Right, Trevor, I want you in this position right up here. You are your lookout, give me a heads up when the armored car comes by."

Trevor: "Ok."

Michael: "I'm gonna be right here in the garbage truck blocking the roadway. Franklin, you're in the alley in the tow truck. Hope is they put it right in front of you. when they do, you come at them hard. BAM."

Franklin: "Sh*t, here's hoping."

Michael: "Yeah, after the hit we blast open the doors and grab up all the cash bonds. Whatever there is, I take it."

Franklin: "That's a lot to hope us, homes..."

Trevor: " As long as I'm not on the ground when the sh*t goes down, ok."

Michael: "When the sh*t goes down we'll handle it. You stay up here on your post, eyes peeled, ok? We'll take the risk, sound cool?"

Franklin: "sh*t.., you're the professional dog."

Trevor: "As long as I'm not wearing a clown outfit Mikey, alright."

 

*They come back out with Masks*

 

Trevor: "Real professional." *Trevor talking in sarcastic tone.

 

*Mission Starts*

 

Trevor: "Alright Mikey, I'm in position. What's the ETA?" -- "Looking for - I gotta visual on the target, should be with you any moment. Michael! You better get on your way! Move In! Get the truck across the roadway."

*Micheal moves the truck.*

Trevor: "Just stop in the road and stay there."

Michael: "Alright, I've pulled up. We're ready Frank."

Michael:"Hey get ----- way down"

Franklin: "Ok! ok!"

Michael:"Don't stand near the vault kid!" "Blow the doors!"

Micheal: "Everyone out! Let's go on the ground now move it!"

Gaurd 1: "My f*cking ears, I'm f*cking deaf you f*cking prick!"

Franklin: "Get out of the van I've got the ___ ___ ."

Gaurd 2: "The alarm has been tripped, the cops will be swarming here in 10 seconds! You better run!"

Franklin: "Shut the f*ck up!"

Michael: "Come on, we're good to go!"

Franklin: "Sounds like they're calling your numbers, homie!"

Trevor: "Looks like they hit the panic button, half the LSPD incoming!" *Trevor in sarcastic tone*

Michael: "Sh*t! We ain't going to clear the area! Alright, hold off the cops, we'll take up a plane when we see a window.

Franklin: "This is going to be a nasty mothaf*cka, man."

Trevor: "I'm going to the pier."

Trevor: "I'm up here watching over you boys, Well, one of you more than the other."

Michael: "Once these are down then we move on." **(not 100%)

Franklin:"More cops on the way!"

Trevor: "I'll take em down, leave it to me. I'm up here with a rocket launcher guys! Keep out of my way!"

Michael: "It's not worth it."

Trevor: "There's tons of these assholes!"

Trevor: "Ooooh! I gotta rocket up my ass!"

Franklin: "Hey when are we getting out of here?"

Trevor: "Hold them down, get them on the back foot., we need a window. There's more in front of you, leave them to me, alright?

Michael: "There are some snipers on the roof to your right, you gotta take them out!"

Franklin: "Oh sh*t! Come to the front dog, I need some help ___ right there!"

Franklin: "Hey, someones gotta mash dudes up here homes!

Michael: "Hold em back!"

Michael: "All we gotta do is ride this out."

Trevor: "Mike I got gunmen in those choppers!"

Michael: "Alright, get rid of them quick!"

Franklin: Random blurgs

Trevor: "Going to work ain't so tough after all."

Franklin: "Ooo sh*t alright man you stay safe."

I don't know why, but I can't imagine Trevor specifying which police department is coming after them. More or less, he'd probably end up saying something like "Pigs", "Cops", etc.

He says incoming as if he was singing acording to Cvg. Sounds something a psycho would do if you ask me.

 

And it's REAL dialogue, stop bitching, it'll sound better in game when you hear the character saying these things.

I remember when the dialogue for San Andreas was first leaked. When it was read it seemed fake as hell, but IIRC it ended up being completely real and sounded better when it was spoken.

WTF has being an "Uncle Tom" got to do with anything ? As I (a black person) was reading Franklin's lines it did strike me that something was wrong, not only did his character seem dumb and out of place but the way it was written just seemed.... strange to me, its almost as though the people who wrote Frank's lines were completely out of touch with what type of person he is, hopefully its all bullsh*t from those CVG dudes, or maybe they just didn't understand what and how things were being said and a few things got lost somewhere along the line.

Yes. ... And no. While the rockstarturk.com contains a transcript which has been translated into their language, they also link to the actual source which is magazine, Computer and Video Games (aka CVG) by Future Publishing which has been a mainstay of video game journalism in the UK since the early 1980's (I remember when CVG started out, which might tell you how old I am).

 

CVG have been publishing a series of video blogs about GTA:V which they call GTA 5 O'Clock. Each week they find something to talk about from going though every single frame of the trailers to looking in close detail at every single screenshot. As a major publication CVG magazine was invited to the official Rockstar preview demos of GTA:V, material from which they have also used in their GTA 5 O'Clock blog.

 

In last weeks episode they discuss, at length, the character dialogue that they took down during the Rockstar preview. Remember, journalists that are invited cannot record anything, video or audio. All they can do is take notes. The CVG guys tried to write down as much as they could including dialogue. So the dialogue is based on hastily written notes and memory and therefore may not be super accurate, which they do admit in their blog. They do indicate which bits they are certain of and which bits they aren't. But it isn't fake.

I think CVG are starting to scrape the proverbial barrel in order to come up with enough material for an hour long video blog each week. They've been making that demo last quite a while now. I suspect that new information from Rockstar, whatever it may be, cannot come soon enough for them.

Most Black people in America speak totally different when they are around friends, than they do within a professional environment. It is something that most learn at a early age. When it comes to video games and movies, I don't pay attention to dialogue until I hear and see it. We're reading it and not hearing it. The tone and pace could be way off.
