nodont
So.. I'm a massive fan of games like Total War, Sims City etc. Do you know any good games like these? Including things like, financial managing, controlling towns and income/jobs, wars, trade between who, and where etc etc. It's not much detail but yeah.. also: are there any minecraft mods which add this? Thanks in advance.
BullworthAcademy
The Simpsons: Tapped Out fits your description.
simonp92
Age of Empires. 2 & 3 are especially good. The original stronghold is also very good.

Kiffster
I recommend the Tropico series. I've only played Tropico 3 and 4.
Vercetti42
Tycoon City: New York maybe? I used to play it a lot back in the day it's a game about re-building New York and fits your description nicely oh and age of empires and civillization are pretty good too. RedDagger
I'd also recommend civillization and tropico, they're known to consume your time.
NCONiall
Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis was a pretty fun game. You build a park, invest money into dig-sites, invest money in research, and take on the role of park warden in case there was an escape. It can be strangely addicting. And as others have said, Age of Empires is a pretty good choice as well. 1000th
SausageInACan
Age of Empires. 2 & 3 are especially good.
Fireman
The Tropico games sound like they might be worth your look. This has been a reasonable answer so far, in addition; Omerta, City of Gangsters If WO II interest: Very strategic and micro-management; Europe Unversalis (II or III) Hearts of Iron (I or II) Crime-focused strategic and micro: Gangsters I and II Turn-based, combat-orientated: Silent Storm 1-2 (fantastic games, I love these)
Wolf of Badenoch
I'd also recommend Civillization. Damn, I was going to say that.
GrandMaster Smith
Age of Empires II and Pharaoh: Cleopatra. Seriously two of the greatest games made and I still play them to this date. Just got Pharaoh the other night also. AoE is based around combat while Pharaoh is more simply about just building and maintaining a city, everything from setting up import/exports to managing wages and taxes. Both have a pretty good learning curve so they aren't just some game you can master in an hour or two, the replayability with these games is amazing (especially AoE2 online (checkout gameranger and voobly)). Graphics may be somewhat dated but the gameplay is golden.
Autopilot
Since you like Total War, you might want to try the Heroes Of Might And Magic series. It's turn based strategy with RPG elements. I'd recommend starting with II, if you like it move on to III & the Chronicles expansions, then IV and V.
