CRRPGMykael Posted June 22, 2013 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Release dates are basically estimates of when the game will certainly go "gold" (i.e. development process is finished), then have gone through quality assurance and is basically ready for shipping, then going to retailers. There is usually no big secret to a specific date, unless it's something cute like releasing your game on the date 11/11/11 like what happened a while ago or maybe the CEO has a birthday right after the planned release date so let's release it 1 day later or maybe because it's an indie game that obviously can't compete with all the braindead people that are gonna buy Call of Duty again and will move their release date. In Europe (and most of the world) however they get released on Friday. Unless it's a worldwide release then it will be Tuesday as well. September sounds better than October because next gen consoles would have been just a month after v released if it was October. I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with other games releasing but due to the hype for next gen. September 17, 2013 = 09/17/2013 = 0 + 9 + 1 + 7 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 3 = 23. "September" (9 characters) + "Seventeenth" (11 characters) + "GTA" (3 characters) = 23.
