gtamann123
I really love license plates and I believe that they are a very important part of a state/provinces identity. Im not sure if this thread will survive but here it goes. Just post your favorite license plates and explain why you like them. Here are mine This series of Texas plates I think it is beautiful. The landscape seen at the bottom and the way the colors blend at the top. Just eye popping. California Quite possibly the most iconic license plate in the world. I think that its simplicity works to its advantage. It is nothing but a white box with red lettering but it truly is beautiful. Arizona I love the cactus at the side and the uneven design of it. I also really like the colors and how they perfectly captured the sunset. And now for my home state Minnesota Not anything fancy but I do think its a fairly good looking plate. Maybe thats just because I am used to it. But my state also makes really cool specialty plates. Really cool. I think these are just concept designs but I hope they get created. I would probably get the Fishing one.
Ben73
I don't go much on fancy plates with pictures and all that. In my state we can get plates of so many colours you can always find one that suits your cars colour. I just like and have something basic like this. But this is NOT my plate. gtamann123
Those are pretty cool but I find them quite boring without any designs on them. Is the whole fancy design thing kind of a north american thing?

epoxi
I wish the UK standard was the classic silver-on-black plate. In my opinion, yellow number plates really ruin the rear of any car. Also the fact UK plates are typically composed of cheap flat plastic as opposed to embossed aluminium (like the rest of the world) looks tacky to me. My states standard plates yellow plate with black characters. Looks like crap. First thing I done after getting my car was change the plate to something that suited and fitted the colour of the car. Black plate with silver/grey characters.

That Oklahoma one does look pretty awesome. And a great thing in relation to the state because it was founded as basically one giant Indian reservation. Georgia plates are an HM for me. I have seen a few driving through my town in my life and I like the lettering on it and the peaches really add some interesting detail to it. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_TNuuFiZsn4A/TB9p...600/georgia.jpg This is pretty cool. GunWrath
Lots of Georgia Peaches around here, gtamann. Alot of younger women and teen female drivers get custom GA tags with their initials or some sort of keyword. I seen one the other day that said, 'BGBTY' .. I figured it meant Big Booty. Interesting some of the tags you see in a lifetime.

Ari Gold
On our car we have an upgraded plate, a slimline/sports plate that looks like this: The first letters are SPD so I like to think it means "Speed"[/color] That's what we have on all of our cars. Quite a few driving Mercs, Beamers, Audis and all the other mid-high end Euro cars get these $500 "Euro-style" plates, which I'm gonna buy once I have some loose coinage about because I think they look nice. You can get them in either black-lettering-on-white-background or vice versa; I'm personally gonna go with black lettering on white. You can pick the two letters after the V along with the three numbers. I remember once I was pissed out of my f*cking mind and I saw one which had VAG for the letters, and that sent me rolling on the floor.

They look so silly. The actual European ones look great but the Australian Euro ones just look kinda try-hardy. I usually imagine them on an X6 with a snobbish German at the wheel. Tacymist
I actually like the vintage plates more than the newer ones, despite all the cool artwork they have now. The simplistic look just has a certain charm about it that I can't explain. And I really like how the 1944 Pennsylvania plate has the state's shape impressed into it. Zyo
Vintage plates yeah. A few of my favorites. This is a great license plate. I love the sunset state design. Mid 80's to early 90s. This was a classic. '86 New York Liberty plate. Issued to commemorate 100 years of the statue of liberty. A million times better than the current NY plate. I also like the Florida design. It hasn't changed much since the 70s except a variation of the colors and some small details. I thought it might also be an opportunity to plug one of my mods. Accurate license plate replacements for GTA San Andreas.
