Tennis, underwater, YOGA?!

Yoga might have been a waste, but we don't know for sure yet. Tennis looks promising, so I'll have to wait and see. Underwater is definitely NOT a waste and I'm more than excited to see it's return to GTA .

How can you say it adds nothing and is worthless when you haven't even played it?

 

Did you use gym in SA? Probably yes. And yoga may just as well improve character skills. So it would basically just be a different animation for let say improving stamina - instead of watching your character run on a treadmill, you're watching him doing yoga. And for some people who would actually like to try yoga in real life, it may serve as a nice video showing how to do it.

It's like people are actually thinking we could have another city if R* didn't spend time doing minigames or something.. GTA V has been in development for YEARS. The game was probably FAR into development when they started programming the minigames. I promise you, NOTHING is being sacrificed from them adding yoga and tennis. And underwater? How would that even be considered a waste? Alot of people were upset when they realized there was no underwater in IV after San Andreas.

 

The game's gonna be AMAZING, you won't be worrying about this stuff come September 17th.

1. I said multiple times that a little minigame is not comparable to modelling part of a city AT ALL. Tennis involves physics and coding, NOT modelling, apart from like a tennis racket which would take no time at all.

 

2. "The game was probably FAR into development when they started programming the minigames" - you don't say? That's not the point.

 

3. "I promise you, NOTHING is being sacrificed from them adding yoga and tennis" - there are only so many resources/hours that can be used - instead of using them on yoga they could have been used to make better things.

 

4. "Alot of people were upset when they realized there was no underwater in IV after San Andreas." - I don't want underwater exploration REMOVED, I just think they've put way too much detail into it.

Exactly, we don't really know what yoga will add to the game, whether it increases stamina or something, but there's no way yoga will be any more bland than pressing X and O over and over in the gym for like 5 minutes straight like in SA.

 

Maybe now they'll have Michael's family walking by or pedestrians in the public gym making cracks at Michael's age so there's at least some humour to it.

The time they spent doing that, they could have spent making the map bigger/better. Who is seriously going to spend over 10 minutes down there? Even if there's sharks, treasure, f*ck, the bloody loch ness monster, it's still relatively boring.

The way I look at the underwater detail:

 

It's going to be amazing skydiving from the highest limit down into the depths of the ocean. Unlike IV where you'd splash and not even go under water. It's realistic. Perhaps they don't need an ENTIRE world down there, but I think once in a while I'll get a kick out of exploring.

I'm glad they put detail into it - unlike in SA. Have you ever played Red Dead Redemption? Ever do the treasure hunting side-activities?

 

It gives you something to do other than the story. Adds to the world they're building, more gameplay features.

 

God forbid they add something you don't like. Maybe you should email them asking for an apology since they didn't have your best interests in mind when they were developing the game. That they added a feature that everyone doesn't find fun and refreshing to do other than turning on their console and playing "Groundhog Day: The Game" and doing the same sh*t over and over again until you get bored and beg for another f*cking game.

 

Say they slapped on another piece of the map. Maybe a small town outside of Los Santos. Then f*cking what? You'll just have another area to run people over and kill cops.

 

So you'd rather have that than more than a new activity and environment to the map? Give me a f*cking break.

I'm probably one of the very few looking forwards to playing tennis and golf in V lol

 

 

I loved R*'s table tennis game and I used to always play TopSpin back in the day so this will just be one more game I've been itching to play put into V. I really hope they have basketball for Franklin, shootin some hoops on the streets would be sweet.

 

 

 

Seriously people pay $60 just for a hunting game, or $60 for racing game, or flight simulator, or a linear 3rd person shooter, or an underwater exploration game, or a tennis game.. yet we're getting all of this along with a map 5x the size or Red Dead made by the fine perfectionist people of R* Studios in one single game. So maybe you don't enjoy skydiving, you still have sunken ships to explore, banks to rob, jets to fly, wildlife to hunt, mountain trails to race dirt bikes on.. Just enjoy it.

People are complaining about the underwater exploration? Seriously? This is something no other game has done before and to be in a game like GTA V just blows my mind. Think of what could be down there. If they did put the time in and really put in the atmosphere of a real living breathing ecosystem in the ocean do you think we'd just dive down there and say "Oh look a shark.. how cool." and then resurface? You're dead wrong. Wait until you play the game to complain that ohhh they could have put in so much more to the land aspect of the map.
