Imagine being able to locate enemies in the multiplayer and then bringing the plane close enough to blow them flying away. I don't think that particular footage in the trailer is a cutscene to begin with. Cutscenes in GTA don't usually involve action and chase scenes, because that's what the gameplay is for. GTA trailers use a lot of cutscene footage, but they also use a lot of gameplay footage but shot with a controlled cinematic camera. So that is most likely happening during gameplay. Start watching around 2:10 and you'll see how a jet engine will destroy a car. The footage in V's trailer is actually being generous on the power of a jet engine! I can't wait to park an airliner downtown and just blast every car that drives by xD Yes it is possible, but that jet is stationary, jets do not sit in one spot and go full power because they would obliterate the concrete of the runway.
