Im not a SA fanboy, and I am probably one of the most critical people on IV. It just had alot of issues.

I'm not directing that towards you, more so the actual San Andreas fanboys which are more prevelant amoung the casual gamer population but still annoy the sh*t out of me. I'm not saying IV was without faults, it's just I hate when; e.g. people claim San Andreas perfect story/characters just because it was their first GTA or the gameplay was good.

- static construction sites that block roads forever (I guess the mile high club is growing in V during the game)

- Bowling

- Dating

(beside of that IV is still my favourite GTA till now!)

1. Ragdoll physics

2. Morality choices/multiple endings

3. Random encounters

There werent ragdol physics in IV. It was natural motion.

And random encounters are back.

And I am pretty sure multiple endings too! (hopefully)

Triple Vacuum Seal
I must say, that one element of Grand Theft Auto: IV that I would hope is optimized in Grand Theft Auto: V, is the subtle vehicle sound effects. I speak of chiefly the ignition sequence, revving and the "tail" sound that is emitted. It would be excellent if every vehicle featured a distinguished engine sound, and when revving you could hear the "vroom" tone pulsate coherently through a bass speaker. smile.gif

Seeing it put this vividly makes me realize how amazing V will be if R* hones in on this detail. Gun sound effects need to be overhauled from IV as well.

So if you're not old enough to properly count, how are you old enough to be playing GTA?

Very much agree with driving. Driving was so annoying in IV I eventually just ended up taking cabs everywhere. Hope they fixed it in V.

  1. Driving - Oh wait. Not driving because there was not that much wrong with it. In fact it was pretty realistic.

Flying Rats - Oh wait. There was nothing wrong with those either, because I only occasionally got a wanted level. And I'm capable of losing one star by driving around a couple of corners without kicking up a fuss about it.

The muted autumnal colour palette - Oh wait. Nothing wrong with that, it was part of the atmosphere of the game.

Inactive Firefly amusement park - Oh wait. There's nothing wrong with that either, because it's real life counterpart was closed too and it lent a certain atmosphere to the Hove Beach area.

Boring Story - Oh wait. I liked the story because it was multilayered, thoughtful and featured characters with depth.

Actually I do have a couple of gripes.
  1. Socialisation - Being called every five minutes by friends. Putting phone in sleep mode doesn't stop the friend related timers, so when you come out of sleep mode after several game days you get a slew of thumbs down messages.

AI Issues - Cars pushing past you when queuing. Unrefined discipline on multilane carriageways.

Lack of rewards for mini-games and side missions.

2 - HOPEFULLY, those crazy fools that cause pile-ups on highways...

That hardly ever happened in IV. It was one of the funniest things to see in SA though:
