I would like to know specifically what businesses can be robbed. I'm hoping that any place where you can make a purchase you can also rob. Also, it would be great if you could take items and not just money. Say stealing clothes from Persues or even guns from ammunation. Of course it should be difficult enough that you would prefer to buy it rather than rob. They could make it so if you rob a place you can't shop there for like an in game week. TakinThyBacon Posted June 20, 2013 Share Posted June 20, 2013 My thoughts are that I really have no idea, my only real hope is that it is not like the betting place heist we had to do in SA with Catalina, standing guard and switching targets to get them to keep their hands up is just not that interesting. The word "dynamic" leaves a lot of questions, is it dynamic in the respect that we have to pick the correct time to preform the robbery? Do we need to preplan these robberies with others? Do we need to gather intel before hand? I wonder if there will be NEW and MORE stores available for us to rob, and it's more likely since the map is huge and the game is pretty much about heists and robbery. I also wonder during the night if we will be able to rob stores with a partner or just our character, getting in through the roof to a small store, stealing jewelries or the cash machine/box. It helps when I see "Special and Collector's Edition Announced!" at the top of the screen every day I think I read that you could rob liquor stores? I would like that a lot. Maybe we can drink booze anywhere now, not just bars. The new drunk would be a less ridiculous stumble and increase your overall pain threshold. Also I would like to make my own molotovs if we could buy/steal our own booze. In Chinatown Wars you make your own molotovs via gas stations, by filling up gas cans. It reminds me a lot of a few screens with Trevor. I doubt we can steal clothes or ammo only because I feel R* is going to be giving us more to do with our money. If we can steal everything.. I probably would, and I would be left with unusable money again. Maybe other types of heists will have you stealing things other than money.. Shipping trucks full of electronics, high end construction equipment, gun delivery for ammunation, etc.. I could see how these could be stolen and fenced. Maybe stealing prototype weapons and cars, but I can't picture running into a Burger Shot with my gun out demanding "GIVE ME A BLEEDER BURGER OR DIE!" Or even dine and dashing. Or stealing clothes, that would ruin any form of saving and spending money. I take pride in all the little things I buy in free roam games, a more rewarding accomplishment when purchased all the clothes in San An compared to if I had stolen them.. But thats just me. Things that you can sale or use like gas, fuel, drugs, and ammo I am all for. Overall I am VERY excited to rob random stores and people at gunpoint, any time I choose. That will make me happy. But i do think that if you wear stuff you have robbed, you run a high risk of 5-0 catching up with you. Irl anyone that robs stores/shops and walks around in the sh*t they rob, they are the idiots that end up in prison after one summers worth of robbing lol. Like with Jewlery stores, obviously anything worth over like 1k is going to relativly unique... if you choose to wear that sh*t yourself, it should gain you stars if you are close to a cop (close enough for them to clock it) or if you walk into the store. In SA you could, VC too. You pull a gun on the cashier and they put their hands up, after about 10-20 seconds money would appear of the floor round them. It wasn't much though. I felt it a bit silly you could walk right back into the same store after robbing it an hour beforehand and everything was fine. I like both your ideas of getting an instant wanted level and/or not being able to shop there for a certain amount of time. Beyond that I'm not quite sure at the moment what they could do otherwise. But other than that there shouldn't be any risk other than knowing the cops will be on their way and will shoot you up if you don't get outa there fast enough. With the voice recognition im also wondering does it matter how loud you shout and will you intimidate staff more so with a shotgun than you would with a snubnose revolver? If you rob it with a mask on then after you escape take it off and change your clothes then go back in a little later they shouldnt know it was you. Or it have to be a 'special' mission set by a NPC like stealing a semi truck full of high tech iFruit, that you are rewarded for by this NPC. (speculation) I have a question, what happen if you steal one of theses bank truck, take the money out of it without destroying it, then saving it in your garage. Before this game was seriously revealed in the December game informer, i wish that we can plan and rob banks,jewelery stores, etc without playing in game campaign.
